Project Engineer

R777 700 CTC Annual Package

The successful candidates will be based at Brits and responsibilities for this position includes the following: Confer with consultants and contractors on projects; Evaluate progress against programmes, monitor quality and recommend

progress payment to be effected; Provide engineering and technical direction for planning; Design and implementation of bulk and retail water treatment and distribution

and related community projects; Review plans and specifications prior to instituting projects to determine

whether they meet organizational requirements and engineering standards; Compile business plans, maintenance and capital budgets and motivate

expenditure to General Manager Project Management Unit.

In order to be considered for appointment candidates must have Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical/Civil or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification in Mechanical/ Civil Engineering field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in water and infrastructure project management or linear project management lifecycle experience ● Prior exposure to legal and commercial issues pertinent to project management ● Experience in project costing • Sound problem solving & analytical skills ● Valid driver’s license ● Proficiency in MS Project ● Registration as professional engineer with ECSA would be advantageous ● Recognized Project Management certificate e.g. diploma / CAPM /PMP Appointment will be made in line with Magalies Water’s Employment Equity Plan.
