• In her poem “Caged Bird” May Angelou use figurative language. She uses personification and Imagery like” His shadow shouts trill of things unknown”. She use personification and Imagery in this poem to help the reader understand poem. It also helps the reader mental/ visual image. She didn’t use a simile like “ The birds narrow cage which is like a prison can seldom see through his bars of rage because she wanted to focus only in that she wrotes.
