Exporting from PubMed to Refworks

1. Search in PubMed

2. Click in boxes to select articles

3. Click “Send To.” • Select “File” under Choose Destination• Select “Medline” under Format• Create File

4. Save file

5. Open a new window or tab and sign into RefWorks

6. Once in RefWorks, go to References and select “Import”

7. Choose Import Filter/Data Source “NLM PubMed”

8. Choose Database PubMed

9. Browse for the PubMed file you saved

10. Click Import

If you have imported the file correctly, a lightbox will appear as below. To view your imported reference, click “View Last Imported Folder”.
