The Vigilex explosion vent panels have been designed to meet with current

health and safety requirements and are intended to be used in potentially

explosive areas (directive 94/9/CE).

In the event of an explosion the vent panels are designed to evacuate the

pressure in order to protect both the workforce and surrounding facilities.

The Vigilex explosion vent panels offer a simple and efficient protection sys-

tem which is designed to resist vacuum under cycling conditions and can be

used in silos, cyclones, filter units and vessels.

The Vigilex VD is a domed single sectionexplosion panel with an integrated frameand integral vacuum support designedto resist negative pressure resistance undercycling contitions.This avoids the use of vacuum support bars.

Thermal insulation is provided by using ARMAFLEX covered withaluminium foil preventing heat loss, condensation and offeringUV protection.The Vigilex TI thermal insulation does not alter the efficiency of theventing relief as this is taken into consideration when the burstpressure is determined.

WEATHER PROTECTION : VIGILEX WI

This lightweight weather cover offers protection tothe explosion vent panels from the elements withthe effects of wind, snow, hail and dirt minimised.

The Vigilex WI cover does not alter the efficiencyof the venting relief.

MOUNTING FRAMES : VIGILEX CB

We calculate the vent area using the technical specificationsof the vessels according to the EN14491, VDI3673 or NFPA68 standards

VENT AREA CALCULATION

We test the vent panels in our factory according to EN14797. These panels aremanufactured under the examination certificate type Ineris 08ATEX0038Xand the quality management system of the company is certifiedby the Quality Certification INERIS 08ATEXQ406. Explosion vent panels aresupplied with a certificate of conformity complete withburst test results along with installation guidelines.
