Relative Frequency/Cumulative Relative Frequency

• Relative Frequency refers to graphing the percent of the counts in each bin

• Cumulative Relative Frequency refers to graphing the CUMULATIVE PERCENTS of the counts in each bin

• The histogram of a cumulative relative frequency is call an OGIVE (pronounced o-jive)

Time Plots

• Display observations taken over time

• Horizontal (x) axis is always time and the variable is on the vertical (y) axis

• Reveal trends or changes over time (think stock market graphs)
