This vehicle has neutral tow capability. To engage the transfer case into neutral, follow the procedure listed below. If the transfer case is engaged in neutral, moving the shift lever out of neutral or moving the ignition switch to the ON or Start positions will result in the transfer case shifting out of neutral. Always verify that a low or dead battery condition does not exist when shifting the transfer case into or out of neutral. Always apply the parking brake and remove the key when the vehicle is in PARK. Failure to follow these instructions could result in unexpected vehicle movement or transmission damage. When the transfer case is in the neutral position, the engine and transmission are disconnected from the rest of the driveline. Therefore, the vehicle is free to roll. Make sure the vehicle is properly prepared for towing before shifting the transfer case into neutral (see supplement). TO SHIFT THE TRANSFER CASE INTO NEUTRAL FOR TOWING: 1. Prepare the vehicle for towing. 2. Start the engine to make sure the battery is sufficiently charged. 3. Make sure vehicle is at a complete stop and the vehicle is shifted into two wheel drive 4.Place the automatic transmission shifter into NEUTRAL. 5.Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position (i.e. steering not locked). 6.Depress the brake pedal for 5 seconds. 7. The neutral light will initially go through a bulb check; then stay on to indicate the transfer case is in neutral. 8. Leave ignition switch in the OFF position and the transmission shifter in NEUTRAL while the vehicle is in tow. DO NOT DISCONNECT TOWED VEHICLE BEFORE PLACING TRANSFER CASE INTO GEAR. TO SHIFT THE TRANSFER CASE OUT OF NEUTRAL AFTER TOWING 1.Make sure vehicle is at a complete stop. 2. E The neutral tow feature(NTF) provides the convienience of towing your 4X4vehicle on the rear wheels or on all four wheels for extended distance with-out risking damage to the automatic transmission.

This vehicle has neutral tow capability. To engage the transfer caseinto neutral, follow the procedure listed below. If the transfer case isengaged in neutral, moving the shift lever out of neutral or moving the ignition switch to the ON or Start positions will result in the transfer case shifting out of neutral. Always verify that a low or dead battery condition does not existwhen shifting the transfer case into or out of neutral.
