Explorer Metal Detector Connectivity Software

METTLER TOLEDO SAFELINE Explorer software can simultaneously monitor and remotely operate over two hundred networkedmetal detectors in one or more plants from one central computer to ensure compliance with established product safetyspecifications. Explorer provides continuous real-time monitoring information – detector online/offline status, detect/rejectcounts, faults, power failures, QA test schedules and more – to allow rapid intervention when anomalies are detected. Itscustomizable data collection and reporting abilities can provide incontrovertible documentation of your product safetyinspection program.

Note: To be "Explorer-ready" for networking, each metal detector must have a Single Board Controller installed either as an originally-installed option (V3module) or a simple after market upgrade. • Monitor the critical status of all metal detectors at a glance from the Explorer

map screen which can simulate the actual layout of your plant.

• Simple point-and-click operation allows detailed monitoring and remote

adjustment of each metal detector in the network.

• Enter alert specifications for events like "QA Test Overdue" that can trigger

notification by email, cell phone, pager, or any other SMTP-compatible device.

• Pre-programmed report functions allow you to track the metrics most

important to you.

• Built-in security features track user accounts and passwords and allow you to

set individual user rights.

• All data is stored on a Microsoft SQL® server database and because Explorer

is both ODBC and MODBUS-compliant, you can interface with any similarly

compliant software packages.

• Each metal detector's Single Board Controller processes and shapes all data

flowing from the detector and acts as a back-up if the main network server

goes offline.

• Explorer easily accommodates expansions to your metal detector network.

• Optional beacons provide visual confirmation of metal detector adjustments.
