THE WINE EDUCATOR Enjoy 1 ½ hours of wine tasting with artisan cheeses and breads, instruction, a guided tour and wine Q&A with one of our renowned sommeliers in our world-class 75,000+ bottle Wine Cellar. Learn about the top grape varietals, wine regions, styles of wine and the basics of pairing wines with food. Starting at $65, $95 with blind wine tasting game. 12 person minimum. Not offered on Saturdays.

BLIND WINE TASTING GAMETest your knowledge of wine with a blind wine tasting facilitated by our sommelier. Guests will be broken up into groups and will sample two different wines (a red and a white). The wine bottle will be placed in a brown bag to conceal the label and bottle shape. Guests will have 15 minutes to guess the continent, country, region, grape and year of each wine. After the game, enjoy a tour of our world-class Wine Cellar. Minimum of 12; Maximum of 50. Can combine The Wine Educator with Blind Wine Tasting Game for an extra fee. Activity is hosted on property at Grand Cascades Lodge. MIXOLOGY COMPETITION ‘Mix it up’ with mixology! In this contest, teams are challenged to create a signature cocktail using the provided beverages, plus a secret ingredient. Each station will include everything needed, with other ingredients available in the center of the room to share. Teams will be given the instructions and will have 30 minutes to create as well as name their signature cocktail. Each team will be judged on team work, taste, creativity and originality. Starting at $40. $250 set up fee. 12 person minimum.

FARMING WITH GPS Participants travel around The Resort with a GPS unit to collect ingredients for an appetizer. You can choose your own appetizer or stick with one of our favorites: guacamole or pico de gallo. After collecting all of the ingredients, participants will be briefed by our chef on proper knife handling etiquette and tricks to enhance flavors and presentation. A panel of judges will choose the winner. Starting at $125 per person. 12 person minimum. $600 set up & chef fee. Additional cost for food.

IRON CHEF COMPETITION1 Hour Preparation plus Lunch or Dinner Event. Our own team of chefs will guide your group in this unique culinary experience with hands-on assistance. Chef hats and aprons are provided to each participant. A selection of the freshest high quality ingredients will be used, and each team will prepare a meal consisting of an appetizer, entrée and side dish to be judged based on presentation, taste, originality, best name and teamwork. Each member of the winning team will receive a bottle of our private label wine. Our kitchen will serve a delicious meal for all guests after the competition concludes.

S’MORESGather around the outdoor firepit and make some S’mores with Graham Crackers, Chocolate Bars and Marshmallows.$150 set up fee, $12.95 per person. 12 person minimum.

CUPCAKE CHALLENGEA group favorite! Each team receives twenty cupcakes to decorate. Chef hats, aprons and towels are provided to each participant. Each will receive frosting, fondant and piping bags. A communal center table will contain additional condiments and a display container that will be used to decorate cupcakes in a way that represents the team, the company, or positions in the company. Teams will have one hour to use condiments, display vessel and cupcakes to form their finished product, and then present. Cupcakes will be judged on teamwork, creativity and originality. BONUS: At the end of 20-30 minutes, there will be a mystery ingredient, or special add-on introduced to the event for even more fun and excitement. SWING N’ SIP Sample and savor what The Resort is known for with this new series – top-rated golf and award-winning wine! This activity includes: 45 minutes of instruction conducted by one of the golf professionals of the Resort Golf Academy, 3 holes of golf in scramble format on one of our spectacular Resort courses, wine sampling and an assortment of delicious hors d’oeuvres. CHILI COOK-OFFOur team of chefs will guide your group in this unique culinary experience by providing the freshest, highest quality ingredients and hands-on assistance. Chef hats and aprons are provided to each participant. Each team will prepare its best bowl of chili for the judge, as well as a marketing pitch to convince the chef as to why its chili is the most favorable. Ratings will be awarded based on color, aroma, consistency, taste and effectiveness of sales pitch. Each member of the winning team will receive a bottle of our private label wine. ARCHERY TAGArchery Tag® is played similar to dodgeball with their bows and patented foam-tipped arrows. This exciting, action-packed game offers the ultimate family-friendly experience that engages everyone. Don’t miss out on Tag . . . The game you never outgrow! Must be at least 12 years old. $25 per person, plus $150 set up fee. 1 Hour.

MOUNTAIN HIKETake an invigorating hike with one of our certified personal trainers up to the top of the 1,500 ft. Hamburg Mountain and back down. You will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Vernon Valley. This hike is of moderate intensity. Please dress appropriately and bring a bottle of water. Weather permitting. Have an extra hour? Add a canoe trip on the mountaintop lake. $50 per guide per hour. $30 per person with canoe trip. Lifeguard fee $100.

FISHINGDiscover the beauty of our unique fresh-water 100 ft. deep quarry at Grand Cascades Lodge. Stocked with trout, large-mouth bass, bluegill, chain pickerel, perch, rock bass and sunnys. ARCHERYLocated adjacent to the fresh-water quarry at Grand Cascades Lodge, our newly built archery range showcases the finest in guided archery. A unique rustic log construction makes it an ideal place to take pictures and capture memories of your vacation. Bows, arrows, and instruction provide. $25 per person, plus $100 instructor fee. Max 8 people. 1 Hour

FOOTGOLFExperience the newest and most exciting crossover sport to hit the U.S. – FootGolf! FootGolf is two sports rolled into one, and is played by kicking a soccer ball (on a golf course) into an oversized hole to score – with rules similar to golf. MOUNTAIN EXPERIENCEThe Mountaintop Experience at Minerals Hotel includes guided mountaintop fishing and archery, as well as canoeing, stand-up paddle boards, paddle boats, hiking and swimming. $49 per person.

FLY-FISHINGDesigned for the serious fisherman, these guided excursions feature a mix of fly-fishing, spin and bait casting and jigging in an unforgettably picturesque stream, which has been stocked with over 3500 trout this season. Poles, waders and all other supplies are provided. Limited to 2-4 guests per session. Guests MUST have a valid NJ Fishing License AND Trout Stamp. WATER WARSIn this kayak challenge, teams of two will paddle the open waters through a slalom course to successfully deliver their treasure chest. Teams will experience a series of obstacles along the way. For instance, one paddler will be blindfolded and must rely on their teammate for directions to navigate the course. This activity will certainly challenge your group while improving communication and trust skills in the process. Starting at $150 per person.

GEO-TREKKINGThis high-tech scavenger hunt appeals to groups of all ages. Participants will use team collaboration plus GPS devices to locate various waypoints, all while overcoming numerous checkpoint challenges along the way. This event can take place at your hotel, nearby park, or anywhere around the world, catering to groups of all sizes and time-lines. Starting at $125 per person.

ADVENTURE QUESTA cognitive and physical competition where groups of two or more work through a variety of puzzles and other adventurous challenges with one goal - to reach the finish line first. Races can cover many miles in the back county or stay on site at your venue. This will be determined by your team’s goals as all races are customized for your group. It’s a great way to increase team collaboration, engagement, and have fun! $250 per person.

CUSTOM OBSTACLE COURSECome and participate in a unique version of a mud run which includes:

• Customized design for your regional destination • Your choice of obstacles from the menu of challenges

• Focus on teams and teamwork to complete the course • Award ceremony following the event$300 per person.

TEAM EVENTuresMaximize team benefit with low physical impact. This program will improve communication, trust and/or leadership through a shared bonding experience. Each activity will be determined based on obstacles your company is currently facing and will get participants engaged, thinking critically and having fun. Starting at $125 per person.

CULTURAL DNACultural DNA combines visions, values, and sense of purpose that bind an organization together. This interactive activity requires communication, attention to detail and determination while working together under pressure. Teams will construct a section of DNA out of PVC pipe using only the available resources. There will be a prototype located in a central location where teams can send one representative at a time to inspect the design for 30 seconds. Team members will then return to their team to share valuable information needed to build the structure. The first team to successfully complete their DNA structure will win. But the activity won’t stop there. After all teams have completed their DNA structures, all teams will connect their structures to form one large group DNA model and unite as one team!. Starting at $125 per person.

SCAVENGER HUNTEverybody’s favorite, tailored to your group. Ranging from traditional to photographic to location-specific and beyond — scavenger hunts are a great source of active fun that gets participants moving around and can be designed within any time-frame. No matter the style, participants will love competing to be the first team to finish!

MINUTE MAYHEMHelp your team perform their best under pressure by racing against the clock to compete in short challenges. As short as a minute

in duration, each challenge can be a standalone event or incorporated into our Geo-Trekking as checkpoints. Starting at $75 per person.

CHARITY BIKE BUILDArmed with wrenches and enthusiasm, teams race to construct the ultimate human-powered, no-gasoline-needed rocket known to many as a “child’s bicycle.” Teams will be faced with the challenge of assembling their “rockets” without any instructions, all while other teammates navigate entertaining, innovative puzzles and challenges to earn enough “money” to purchase that last crucial part needed to make their team’s bike the first produced. Starting at $125 per person (bike cost additional).

SKI CHAIRSBuild and donate a New England classic - the Adirondack ski chair! Built from retired skis, these chairs are comfortable and stylish. All necessary materials and tools are provided, but it’s up to your group to design and build the chairs. They can be donated to area non-profits or taken back to your company. Starting at $125 per person, materials additional.

HANDS OF GRATITUDEImagine life without one of your hands . . . it’s hard to fathom the daily hardships faced. Together, we can provide much needed prosthetic appendages for those who are unable to purchase their own. All materials, tools, and information needed to build functional high-end prosthetic hands are provided. In small teams, your group is tasked with turning the pieces into fully-functioning hands. Completed prosthetics will be donated to those who need a “helping hand”. Starting at $150 per person, prosthetics additional.

ACROYOGA CHALLENGEAcroYoga is a blend of partner acrobatics, thai massage and yoga. In this class, you’ll learn to trust your own body and the community

GOAT YOGAA one hour yoga class for all levels of experience, where we incorporate our miniature goats with a ratio of goats to guests that no one else can provide. The goats are free range and unleashed, and will climb on backs, socialize and will get up close and personal with everyone in the class. Following the one hour class is a 30 minute social where pictures can be taken holding our little stars.$35 per person. $450 set up fee. 1.5 Hours. 20 person max per session.

FARM TOURS55 acre Operational Farm backed up to the Appalachian Trail in the scenic Vernon Valley which is less than 10 minutes from The Resort. Farm tour includes interaction with the following animals, but not limited to — rabbits, goats, chickens, pigs, alpacas, sheep, cows, baby calves, baby chicks, baby goats. All of the animals can be hand fed and during the hands on interactions, the farmer will educate the guests about each animal. Some fun things to do during the tour – collect eggs from free range chickens; give alpacas a bath; bottle feed calves, take the ducks for a swim or ride on a led horse or pony.$60 per person. 1.5 Hours.

SLALOM SLED TEAM RACE COMPETITIONThis event is a blast! Teams gather at the race course to design and build their own sled with miscellaneous items and some extra “bling” to decorate with. Up to two riders and a team of human power ‘mushers’ pull the team sled as teams weave their way through a slalom course. This event includes permits, private space at the golf course, all sled supplies, judges and timers. Starting at $125 per person.

SNOWSHOE RACE Participants will follow an obstacle relay course on snowshoes and race against other teams. Along the way, there will be various winter activities each member of the team will have to complete. The first team to get everyone from their team through the obstacle course will win the challenge. Starting at $50 per person.

WINTER OLYMPICS Go for the Gold as teams compete in a series of fun winter activities. These could include:

FARM TO TABLE TEAMBUILDINGAt Crystal Springs Resort, we put an emphasis on Farm-to-Table dining. Now, your team will have the opportunity to become the chef, harvesting ingredients from our local farm and turning them into a feast. First, the group will meet with one of our esteemed chefs for a quick discussion about the activity. Then, a quick 5-minute shuttle will transport participants to a local farm for a brief orientation. The group will then go into the field and harvest ingredients for their assigned dish with assistance from the farmer and chef. Once all ingredients are harvested, the group will return to the Chef’s Garden to prepare their dishes. After one hour, each group will present and explain the dish prepared to the group, followed by all of the dishes served as a fresh farm-to-table meal. Minimum of 12; Maximum of 20. Availability: 2nd week in July through 3rd week in September (weather permitting). Starting at $195 per person. $600 set up & chef fee.
