    BEADVISEDthat,asaresultofinformationgatheredfromtheWaubraFoundation

    own field research, and from the clinical and acoustic research availabinternationally, the following seriousmedical conditionshavebeen identified i

    people living, working, or visiting within 10km of operating wind turbin

    developments. The onset of these conditions corresponds directly with th

    operationofwindturbines:

    chronicseveresleepdeprivation; acutehypertensivecrises; newonsethypertension; heartattacks(includingTakoTsuboepisodes); worseningcontrolofpreexistingandpreviouslystablemedicalproblemssuch

    asangina,hypertension(highbloodpressure),diabetes,migraines,tinnitus,

    depression,andposttraumaticstressdisorder;

    severedepression,withsuicidalideation; developmentofirreversiblememorydysfunction,tinnitus,andhyperacusis.

    OthersymptomsincludethosedescribedbyMedicalPractitionerssuchasDrAmand

    Harry,andDrNinaPierpontinherlandmarkCaseSeriesCrossoverPeerReviewe

    Study(submissionNo13to theAustralianFederalSenateInquiryintoRuralWin

    Farms) and published in Dr Pierponts book entitled Wind Turbine Syndrome,

    ReportonaNaturalExperiment,2009,publishedbyK-SelectedBooks,SantaFe.

    TheseserioushealthproblemswerealsoidentifiedbyAustralianGPDrDavidIser

    2004. Dr Iser formally notified the Victorian Government of the time after h

    patients became unwell following the start up of the Toora wind project. H

    warningswere ignoredwithout beingproperly investigated by theauthoritiesan

    politicians.

    AllthisandsupportivematerialhasbeenmadeavailabletotheBoardsof themajo

    developers,StateMinisters forHealthandPlanning andseniorhealthbureaucrat

    At the TooraandWaubrawindprojects, someseriously ill affected residents hav

    been bought out by the developers; but only after they signed confidentialit

    agreementsspecificallyprohibitingthemfromspeakingabouttheirhealthproblem

    This buy-outactivitywould support a conclusion that developersareawareof th

    healthproblems.

    Meanwhile,winddevelopmentshavecontinued,withdevelopersassertingthatthe

    projectsmeetacceptablestandards,andtherebyimplyingthattheycannotbecausin

    healthproblems.

    The Foundation is also concerned that Vibroacoustic Disease, as recorded an

    describedbyProfessorMarianaAlves-Pereirasteam fromPortugal,willdevelopi

    peoplechronicallyexposedtowindturbines.Thediseasehasalreadybeenidentifie

    in the occupants of a house with levels of infrasound and low frequency nois

    identicaltolevelstheFoundationisrecordinginthehomesofaffectedresidentsAustralia.

    TheFoundationisawareofover20familiesinAustraliawhohaveabandonedthe

    homes because of serious ill health experienced since the turbines commence

    operatingneartheirhomes.Mostrecently,fivehouseholdsfromWaterlooinSout

    Australia have relocated, where the larger 3MW turbines have had a devastatin

    impactonthehealthoftheseresidents.Someofthesepeoplehavewalkedawayfrom

    theironlyfinancialasset,toliveinashedoracaravanonsomeoneelsesland.

    The Foundation notes the mid-2010 advice from the NationalHealth andMedic

    ResearchCouncilthataprecautionaryapproachbefollowed.Wearenotawar

    thateitherindustryorplanningauthoritieshaveadoptedthisexceedinglyvaluab

    andimportantadvice.

    TheFoundationsposition,asthemosttechnicallyinformedentityinAustraliaupo

    the effects of wind turbines on human health, is this: Until the recommende

    studiesare completed,developersand planning authoritieswill benegligent

    humanhealth is damagedas a result of their proceeding with, or allowing t

    proceed,furtherconstructionandapprovalsofturbineswithin10kmofhomes.

    is our advice that proceeding otherwisewill result in serious harm to huma

    health.Weremind those in positions of responsibility for the engineering, investmenand planning decisions about project and turbine siting that their primar

    responsibility is to ensure that developments cause no harm to adjacen

    residents;and,ifthereispossibilityofanysuchharm,thentheprojectshouldb

    re-engineeredorcancelled.Toignoreexistingevidencebycontinuingthecurren

    practice of siting turbines close to homes is to run the dangerous risk o
