'D/ D&' Expansion, Capacity and Capabilites Contnue at GMI Over the past year, GMI has made significant investments to meet customers’ growth. First and foremost, GMI has increased its SMT placement capacity in North Carolina three-fold (1,500,000 placements per week). The purchase of the FX-3 SMT placement line from Juki, one of our strategic partners, enables GMI to run assemblies with greater component counts in larger volumes at a more efficient price per part. This addional line has enabled us to reconfigure our automated offerings to include a “rapid-response” New Producon SMT line. Inquiries over recent years have indicated both increased demand for this service and a limited number of capable resources in the region. Time to market is crucial for our customers and this service has not only goen first arcles in customers’ hands faster but offered the Design for Manufacture (DFM) input they need to ensure their products are designed for manufacturing efficiency. GMI has also seen increased demand for Conformal Coang. To most EMS providers, this is an undesirable nuisance. GMI sees it as an opportunity to provide addional value to their customers. Therefore, GMI-North Carolina has relocated and upgraded its coang capability and made the strategic decision to add Coang Services to its Costa Rica facility later this quarter. Finally, GMI has expanded its Costa Rican facility for the third me in three years. As GMI connues to transion producon-ready products to this “lower-cost” facility, addional manufacturing space is available. With an addional 18,000 Sq. Ft. (which pushes the Costa Rican facility over 50,000 Sq. Ft.), GMI has been able to opmize the flow on the manufacturing floor. Material flows in one side of the facility and product ships out the other side. 1133 N Main Street | PO Box 748 | Mooresville, NC 28115 P 704.663.5975 | F 704.663.6569 | www.gmimfg.com Advanced Electronic Manufacturing News Brief

This additional line has enabled us to recongure our automated oerings to

GMI has also seen increased demand for Conformal Coating. To most

EMS providers, this is an undesirable nuisance. GMI sees it as an

opportunity to provide additional value to their

    customers. Therefore, GMI-North Carolina has

relocated and upgraded its coating capability and made the strategic decision to

add Coating Services to its Costa Rica facility later this quarter.

Finally, GMI has expanded its Costa Rican facility for the third time in three

years. As GMI continues to transition production-ready products to this

lower-cost facility, additional manufacturing space is available. With an

additional 18,000 Sq. Ft. (which pushes the Costa Rican facility over 50,000 Sq.
