Navigation, Communication, & Troubleshooting

After Logging In

When you login to the virtual office chose from the list of forums or people to visit. The number next to each forum indicates how many people are online. Chose from the People menu to see who’s online. Double-click on a forum or name to go there. Navigate within the forum by using the up, down, left, and right arrow keys on your keyboard. Adjust your avatar’s perspective with the scroll wheel of the mouse. Right click any name in the People menu to select the Go To or Go With options.

Microphone OptionsRight click on the Sound Options (Microphone) icon at the lower left.

● Off – Turns mic completely off.● On Full-Time – Activated mic on full-time, not recommended without a headset.● On Push-to-Talk – When selected, pressing and holding the CRTL key will activate the

mic, like a walkie-talkie. To avoid audio feedback Push-to-Talk must be used by those that do not have a computer headset.

Troubleshoot Audio1. Right click on the Sound Options icon at the lower left.2. Select Settings.3. Check that the Speakers and Microphone drop-down menus have the correct device

selected.

Text Chat

Chat with everyone in the room using the public Text Chat. Enable or disable the Text Chat from the Tools menu.

Theater SeatingDuring any session click on an open seat to get a better perspective of the projected screen. While seated you can zoom in and out of the screen using the mouse scroll wheel on your mouse.

To stand from the seat and move freely click the Stand Up icon at the lower left corner of OpenQwaq.

How To Share A Window● Choose the File > Share a Window menu item. A sub-menu displays desktop windows

that you can share.● Choose a window from the sub-menu for OpenQwaq to display.

● Now use the program on your desktop as normal while others in the OpenQwaq watch the shared display.

To stop sharing the window click the Pause button at the top right of the Display Panel or close the window on your desktop. The panel stops updating and displays a static, grayscale image.
