About «Childhood» & «Kid’s Fashion»

«Childhood» and «Kids Fashion» exhibitions is a key event in the marketof children's goods in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is the only specializedB2B exhibition, which brings together representatives of children's productsindustry, from all over Kazakhstan.

The first "Childhood" exhibition was held in 2008. Since that time theexhibition has gained the respect and recognition among entrepreneurs ofKazakhstan and manufacturers from all over the world.

«Childhood» & «Kids Fashion» exhibitions is traditionally held in Almaty,at the International Exhibition Center "Atakent".

ALMATY city is Kazakhstan's largest metropolis, which concentrates thelargest number of registered enterprises in wholesale and retail trade.Through Almaty passes 2/3 imports of children's products to Kazakhstan.

International Exhibition Centre "Atakent" is the largest venue forexhibitions in Kazakhstan.

Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as foreign partners.In 2017, for the first time participation in the official opening ceremony of the exhibition was

received by the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan Baliyeva Z.Ya.Also, the recognition of exhibitions by foreign partners is growing. So, since 2015 the

Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has been organizing a collective standof Russian manufacturers.

Since 2013, the exhibitions "Childhood" and "Children's Fashion" have been included by theTurkish government in the list of recommended international exhibitions for the participationof Turkish producers.

Annually an official event is held in the format of a panel discussion or a roundtable with officials and authorized bodies.

In 2017, there was a panel discussion on "Business and the protection of the rightsof the child", devoted to the state regulation of the protection of children's rights.Panel discussion was held under the supervision of the Commissioner for the Rights ofthe Child in the Republic of Kazakhstan Baliyeva Z.Ya.

Reports and seminarsFor the market participants, various reports and seminars are held on

Festival MOTHER + CHILDHOOD

The key theme of the exhibitions "Childhood 2017" and "Children'sFashion 2017" was the establishment of communication betweenbuyers and businesses. For this purpose, the first InternationalFestival MOTHER + CHILDHOOD was organized for the first time.

Within the framework of the festival, the participants demonstrated their novelties atthe defile, showed their novelties and toys on the island of children's creativity, and, inthe framework of the contest "The First Transport of the Baby", future mothersselected the best strollers in 7 categories.

In parallel with the games and competitions, many master classes and lectures forfuture and real mothers were conducted from specialists in the field of pediatrics andgynecology.

Thus, participating in festivals, exhibitors were able to get acquainted not only withB2B representatives, but also to communicate directly with buyers and parents, whichhad a positive impact on the understanding of the children's goods market inKazakhstan.

The volume of imports of children'sgoods in Kazakhstan in 2015 accordingto the evaluation of KAIDT was 89billion tenge (-9%).

Market structure

The bulk of imports accounted forclothing and footwear (31% and 6%),a sharp increase in which occurred in2011-2012. This is due to the activelegalization of the market and therapid development of civilized retail.

Baby food and care markets inKazakhstan have the longest history ofdevelopment and the most establisheddistribution network.

The toy market in 2015 - the only oneshowed a positive trend.
