The demand for steel is growing by 5% 6% annually. Middle East countries including the UAE have the worlds largest oil and natural gas reserves and are among the richest countries in the world. The stable oil and gas industry is fuelling the growth in the pipe and tube industry.

The World Energy Council estimates that the GCC needs to invest up to $100bn over the next decade to meet the growing energy demand, with a significant portion of these investments going to expanding the pipes and tubes networks that serve the oil and gas sector, in addition to other allied sectors such as utilities and transport.
The GCC’s drive to extend its railway network will boost the demand for tubes, pipes and welding solutions. This demand is being met with increased domestic production by local players. Moreover, the remarkable utility and construction projects are giving a shot in the arm to the pipes and tube industries.
The steel tubes and pipes industry witnessed robust demand from various domestic industries like real estate, construction, telecom, power, energy, entertainment zones, metros, airports and ports.
It has been believed that construction projects in the GCC will be the key driver in supporting the steel industry’s growth in the near term, followed by oil and gas, petrochemicals and other infrastructure projects.
„The GCCs construction sector is becoming more stable which will drive the demand for steel. But more importantly, the multi-billion dollar infrastructure
projects planned across the region will be the main driver and the cornerstone of the regions economic growth in the coming years.
