Amy Kight (Learning Years Day School, 13050 SW Jenkins Road, Beaverton, OR 97005)

Due to scheduling conflicts, this neighborhood review meeting was not held during a regularly scheduled Central Beaverton NAC meeting. However, the applicant team confirmed the proposed meeting date with Central Beaverton NAC chair Thom Drane, who confirmed the NAC did not have any scheduled business on this day that may conflict with attending the neighborhood review meeting. DOWL received no inquiries regarding the proposal prior to the date of the meeting. The meeting began at 6:30pm and was held virtually via Zoom. Apart from the applicant team, the only attendee was Amy Kight, who owns and operates the Learning Years Day School, which is located directly west of the existing building that will be the location of the proposed new medical clinic use. Amy requested further details on the proposal, and whether alterations to the building or site were proposed. Mike Towle with DOWL gave a brief overview of the applicant’s proposal for a new conditional use for a medical clinic use, as well as a brief history of the existing building and its prior uses, which included the Virginia Garcia Beaverton Wellness Center and the Oregon Health & Science University. Mike confirmed that no alterations to the exterior of the building or site were proposed at this time. Seth GaRey, representing the owner and applicant, stated that while future tenants are not yet known, the proposed medical clinic use will be extremely similar to prior uses of the building. Amy had no further questions on the proposal. The meeting concluded at approximately 6:50pm.
