EXELO WATER

TREATMENT SYSTEMA system consisting in passing the water through optimized natural zeolites for more efficiency

Page 2: EXELO WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Sequestration of calcium and magnesium, removal of iron and manganese containedin water in ionic and colloidal forms. Enhancement of oxygenation of water andoxidation of dissolved organic matters.

Inhibition of the development of crystal thanks to the zeolites which will prevent the limestone to precipitate and the iron to attach and then evacuate them during the water intake.

By cation exchange the calcium concentration will be controlled and the iron will be trapped naturally. Then, by an effect of imbalance, the deposits of limestone already encrusted will gradually detach.

In water circuits of air conditioning, refrigeration and hot waters, scale deposits favor the development of a bacterial films.

These aerobic or anaerobic bacteria have a reproductive cycle every 20 minutes and present major disadvantages for the circuits:

AIR CONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION CIRCUITS

- They cause hard deposits of scale that are easily sulphated in the air conditioning circuits. These phenomena result from the precipitation and cementation of dead bodies of aerobic bacteria mixed with scale.

- The more the bacterial development is fast, the more the scaling increases.

HOT WATER CIRCUITS

- It is often observed developments of deposits with production of corrosive sulfur brought about by the sulfate reducing bacteria.

- The corrosion rapidly extends by contagion and combines with scale causingclogging.

It is therefore essential to thoroughly clean the circuits to remove scale and rustdeposits in order to prevent the development of harmful biofilms.

The EXELO filtration, decarbonation, descaling and iron removal systemallows complete, rapid and chemical-free cleaning of pipes and equipment forcold and hot water production.

Working principle

• Sequestration of calcium and magnesium, removal of iron and manganese contained in water in ionic and colloidal forms. Enhancement of oxygenation of water and oxidation of dissolved organic matters.

• Inhibition of the development of crystal germs thanks to the zeolites which will prevent the calcium from precipitating and the iron to attach and then evacuate them during the water intake.

• By cation exchange the calcium concentration will be controlled and the iron will be trapped naturally. Then, by an effect of imbalance, the deposits of limestone already encrusted will gradually detach.

Specifications and uses

• The EXELO process uses conventional chemical filtration techniques. It can be used in all drinking water systems.

• Example EXELO 2BB:Connection: 1 "(20/27).

• Maximum flow rate: 5 m³/h.

• Maximum pressure: 5 bar

• Overall dimensions: H400mm - L400mm -D200mm.

• Connection: domestic cold water.

• Capacity: 500 m³ at 25° TH (estimated according to the nature of the water).

Advantages

• Effective on scale, corrosion and impurities.

• No electricity.

• No chemical additives.

• Can be installed on all water circuits.

• Minimum maintenance (just change the cartridges).

• LEGIONELLA: EXELO is an effective protection against the risks of legionella proliferation in hot water circuits.

• The pipes are kept clean, without deposits caused by scaling and corrosion.

• No biofilm

Does not modify the nature of the water inits natural composition

• EXELO 2BB 33/42 ON DOMESTIC HOT WATER CIRCUIT:

The calcium and magnesium salts are removed by EXELOcartridges at all temperatures. Existing scale deposits are gradually removed

The pre-filter stops sediments and oxide residues

Water treatment process which respects the environment

1 – Filtration, decarbonation, antiscalant, anticorrosion.

2 – Without chemical additives, does not modify the fundamental nature of the water.

3 –The first cartridge removes limescale. The second removes the iron and the third retains the microparticles.

4 –No toxic discharge to the sewer unlike the softener which pollutes by releasing at each regeneration batch a very loaded water in the sewers. Sodium chloride is not eliminated and does not disrupt the operation of wastewater treatment plants.

EXELO - Several models compliant to the HQE standards

Examples:

EXELO 2BB maxi 20/27: HQE compliantFlow rates: from 1.5 m³/h to 9 m³/hCartridges: Height 10 "or 20"

Replacement of cartridges:From 200 m³ to 9000 m³ depending on thethe content of limestone and flows

EXELO 3BB maxi 40/49 : HQE compliantFlow rate: 9 m³/hCartridges: 3 cartridges, height 20"

Replacement of cartridges:from 1500 m³ for water at 25°TH hardness.

FREQUENCY OF REPLACEMENT ACCORDING TO CALCIUM CONTENT AND FLOW RATES

FROM 1,5 m³/h TO 9 m³/h

SYSTEME NOBEL KS
