Gross National Happiness Situated on the outskirts of the Eastern Himalaya’s. One of the smallest countries in the world, landlocked between the two fastest growing and giant economies of the world. A country that opened its doors only in the year 2000. Bhutan, where Buddhism is a ‘way of life’ is fully committed to Gross National Happiness, coined by the 4th King of Bhutan. Spirituality and compassion have been made more explicit and are embedded in multi dimensional decision making.

When we think of Bhutan, we think of: mystery, transformation, nature, serenity, untouched beauty, and above all happiness. We would love to let you experience it!

Reflection through close encounters

We will not take you on a regular sightseeing trip. This is a personal as well as a collective journey, embracing individual transformation, creating joint connectivity, gaining private insights and inner feelings. 8 days of reflection, awareness, close encounters and compassion. You will experience:

• bewitching nature, (we will be doing some short hiking),

• the warm welcome of the local people (we will stay in farmhouses and enjoy meals with the local inhabitants in their kitchens),

• close encounters with the monks (we will have various insightful sessions with the monks),

• reflections with some government officials (some (ex) ministers will host us).

A once-in-a-life-time experience

Guided by Bercan Günel and Sonja Schasfoort together with our local facilitator Sonam Chopel.

Bercan, as an ex-CFO and entrepreneur is well known for her capability to put a perfect group of people together for (leadership) journeys with personal impact. Creating and developing high performance leadership teams is her specialty. Focused on authenticity and inner power, she is an experienced executive coach/ counselor for many

toplevel executives.

Sonja is a seasoned executive, boardroom consultant and entrepreneur. She joined and co-facilitated several leadership journeys, valuing inspiration and new insights. Wary of prejudice and conventions, Sonja loves a good laugh and enjoys the ‘good things in life’.

and dedication.

Departure date: 2nd of November 2018 – 10th of November 2018 *The dates are for departure and arrival from/to Amsterdam. The departure and arrival date can vary +/- 2 days due to plane schedule. In individual cases, departures/arrivals from/to other cities are possible.

Participation This journey is meant for a select group of top executives and/or business owners. The groups consist of a minimum of 8 and maximum of 12 participants. Diversity, synchronicity and some predetermined main characteristics are essential for the appropriate composition of each group in order to lead a satisfactory experience. Therefore, not every application guarantees participation.
