HEATH'SBITCHBulkedUpAndB.A.D.By day, Heath Fifield runs a used car lot
in Lakeport, California. He works nights
at a geothermal power plant known to
the locals as "The Geysers." It appears
that Heath already had more on his plate
than he could handle, but two years agohe assumed the task of building his own
custom bike in his spare time.
Heath's a large lad and has always beenattracted to the "biggie-ness" of RonSimms customs. But one of the most diffi-
cult decisions was to choose a color and
paint scheme. So, Heath and his lovely
other half, Shelly, who just happens to be
poised precariously upon her hubby'sbike as this month's Fox Hunt winner,
56 September2005Easyriders
went to the Grand National Roadster
Show at the Cow Palace seeking ideas
for paint...among other things.
Climbing to the top of the ceiling,
they looked for a color that simplycould not be ignored. Shining out of the
group of more than 100 cars was this
particular shade of House of Kolor
cobalt blue. Now he was ready for the
next step.
Wrangling a relatively rare CNC brandframe, Heath set to work in his garage.
With his riding buddy, Phil Frey alongside, these two would cuss and bust
their knuckles to get 'er done.
Forming ideas into metal was a trek

that would allow them to boldly gowhere neither had gone before, but itwas turning into a stone bitch. Every-thing would get better, though, after acall to that black-sheep craftsmanknown as Scott Hultquist of Riff RaffCustoms in Livermore, California.
Riff Raff Customs paints, fabricatesand gives birth to some great Californiacustom motorcycles. On this scoot, hetook his paintwork a step further bymarbleizing the flames. Not only that, but when Heath and Phil gave up on themechanics, Scott stepped in and finallygot "Heath's Bitch" rolling.
Heath did manage to cajole the localmachinists at Precision Technologiesinto modifying his swingarm and theRiff Raff custom floorboards to match.
Larry Hardy at Performance Techniquesin Anaheim, took Heath's stock 10Q-inch
RevTech engine way past the factoryspecs. Heath pulled over 125 ponies ona dyno at a bike show in Las Vegas.
Heath is working with Riff Raff(www.riffraffcustoms.com) on his nextproject, and Shelly, meanwhile, hasclaimed first dibs on his cobalt cruiser.
