Do I have to study abroad?
In order to graduate ALL International Business students must spend a period abroad – you will be on exchange for one semester (normally semester 1) and will spend one semester at Strathclyde (normally semester 2)
Eligibility
You must pass ALL your 2nd year classes at the first attempt, with no compensated passes, and achieve a weighted average of 55% for 2nd year
How does the student exchange programme work?• Spend one semester at a partner university
overseas• Follow classes which are a match for your
Strathclyde curriculum• MDP 3 will be done by distance learning for the
semester abroad• Return to Strathclyde for semester 2• Exchange period is a pass/fail and, assuming you
pass, you will receive credit for the period abroad
What are the benefits of studying abroad?Professional benefits• Adds an international dimension to your degree• New perspective on international business• Enhances your CV• Gets you interviews• Increases your employability• Experience of studying at well respected business schools

completed the Strathclyde application you will be nominated to a university abroad and will then have to complete that university’s application procedure.
• You will be asked to put the following areas in order of preference : Europe, North America, Australasia and Asia
• You will then be allocated a place at a partner university in one of these areas according to your subject combination
• You are not guaranteed your first choice, need to put your preferences on the application form and explain why you are applying for each
• We will do our best to match your preferences, though some destinations may be more in demand than others. Your subject areas may limit your choice of destination and university.
