Courses for International StudentsThe exchange and visiting student program aims to accommodate non-degree-seeking students
who wish to study at NTU for less than one academic year. Students may select courses across

• Chinese Language Courses
In addition to the regular courses, exchange students can attend Chinese language courses at
NTU, allowing students not only to learn Mandarin but also Chinese culture in Taiwan.
Eligibility
Only students who are currently enrolled at universities with which NTU has valid studentexchange agreements and are officially nominated by their home universities can apply toparticipate in the Exchange Student Program'
• Exploring Taiwan Series
A specially designed series for international students and is taught in English, these courses are
part of the Taiwan Study Program at NTU,which offers international students the opportunity to
acquire deeper understandings of the various disciplines of research related to Taiwan.
Application Procedure
• Step 1:Official NominationStudents who wish to apply for admission to the NTU exchange programs must be officiallynominated by their home university which has a partnership with NTU. As each partner university.has its own application procedure, please first contact the international office of your homeuniversity .
• Step 2:On-line ApplicationNominated students will be asked to complete the on-line application and upload all requireddocuments before the deadline. NTU will not accept any independent applications.

It couples the world renowned International Chinese Language Program with a NTU's extensive
Exploring Taiwan courses. Students will gain a unique insight into the Chinese language as well as a
deeper understanding ofTaiwan's cultural. historical social heritage, and geographical environment.

institutions, as well as incoming exchange/ degree students at NTU.
Visiting Student ProgramExploring Taiwan@ NTU - Summer Program for Laboratory Research and Culture
Eli ibility
It gives students the opportunity and the resources to engage in laboratory research at some of
NTU's modern, well-equipped laboratories. Departmental labs available include: College of
Science, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Engineering, Bio-Resources and Agriculture,
Life science and Public Health.
This research without borders concept coupled with Exploring Taiwan courses allows students a
broad and well-rounded summer experience. English is the preferred medium of communication
and research language.
The program is available to international students currently studying full time at partner and
non-partner universities. Mainland Chinese students from partner schools or registered
international students are also eligible to apply. The visiting students are required to pay a tuition
fee and a program fee. The tuition fee varies between departments, but ranges from around
US$2,270 to 3,560 per semester(not including Chinese courses). A program fee US$550 is a
one-off charge, which should be paid upon enrollment.• Who could apply?
Junior year and above, including Masters and PhD candidates (includes overseas Chinese) currently
studying in domestic and international institutions, as well as students from partner schools in China
are also eligible to apply.
