DeliverablesEDPS Summary and Exchange Deployment Plan: This document will provide, over a few pages, a summary of the information uncovered during the 3-Day engagement, as well as a high-level deployment roadmap. Given the limited time available to collect your organizational specifics and for documenting the findings, a very structured template will be used for this purpose. The document will include your organizational specifics, enumerate the main deployment challenges and list recommended actions for you to take at the end of the engagement. You can use this document to engage internal IT teams, partners and vendors in deployment planning discussions and proposal generation.

5-Day EngagementDescriptionThe 5-Day engagement is essentially based on the 3-Day engagement, with the addition of an Exchange Server 2007 and 2010 leave-behind lab, and extended time for the Strategy & Planning workshops. The leave-behind lab will be based on two Virtual Machines, and will be used to demonstrate product functionality and execute scenarios such as transitioning users from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 or 2010.

The 5-day engagement enables your Exchange staff to be exposed rapidly to standard Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 SP1 Architecture and Deployment planning methodology. This engagement will be delivered through a series of interactive technical sessions, covering most aspects of an Exchange Server 2007 or 2010 deployment. Insight will work with you to map individual product features to your environment through these sessions, and through the deployment of a lab environment.

At the end of this engagement, you will have gained knowledge of the key features of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 SP1 and how it might integrate into your environment.

DeliverablesEDPS Summary and Exchange Deployment Plan: This document provides a summary of the information uncovered during the 5-Day engagement, as well as a high-level deployment roadmap. It includes your organizational specifics, enumerates the main deployment challenges and identifies the recommended actions for you to take at the end of the engagement. You can use this document to engage internal IT teams, partners and vendors in deployment planning discussions and proposal generation.

Exchange Server 2007 and 2010 Lab: A functional Exchange Server 2007 and 2010 deployment will be provided as a leave-behind, provided that your organization can prepare suitable hardware in advance of the engagement to host the virtual environment. The lab is a virtual, pre-packaged, environment that will be customized with your involvement. The lab includes two Virtual Machines: anActiveDirectoryDomainControllerwithExchangeServer2003,andanExchangeServer2007and2010server(consolidatedCAS,HUB,MBXroles).Thelabwillbeusedtoruncustomscenarios, such as a mailbox migration, but will not be representative of a production deployment. A more complex lab environment, more representative of your environment, may be deployed as an additional service outside the scope of the EDPS offering.

10-Day EngagementDescriptionThe 10-day engagement does not include the 5-day offering, and must therefore be considered as a separate item, which can be completed alone or in combination with the 5-day engagement. The intended audience for a 10-day engagement is directed to Technical and Business decision makers. The 10-day engagement will help drive your organization through the envisioning process for an Exchange Server 2007 or 2010 infrastructure deployment, and transition from Exchange Server 2003. As part of this engagement, Insight will conduct a series of requirements gathering workshops and interviews with your staff, which will contribute to the elaboration of a high-level Vision/Scope document. These workshops will target different groups of stakeholders and will collect information about business, functional and technical requirements. The requirements include consolidation considerations, administrative practices, service and operational level agreements, compliance, client access, backup and disaster recovery. This engagement focuses on capturing only key requirements and major components of the existing environment. The more detailed requirement gathering will be conducted if you decide to proceed with an Exchange 2007 or 2010 design engagement outside of the EDPS offering.

At the end of this engagement, you will be presented with a single Vision/Scope document. The document will: •Describethecurrentenvironment •Introducethefutureenvironment •Explainthevalueofthenewsolutionbyconnectingthebusinessgoalsandobjectivesto
