C3 Assembly

On Friday 4 November it was my class C3’s assembly. My roles were a Gingerllock’s dancer and the princess in Princess and the Pea. I enjoyed watching Jasmine and Chloe because I found their expressions hilarious. Hudson H

I was very nervous before the assembly, but when I started my part I was not nervous. I was Pa Bikie in Gingerlocks. The assembly was a lot of fun. The funniest part was when we were dancing at the end. Shijie

After our awesome assembly we went back to our classroom with our parents, grandparents and siblings. Mrs Hooker brought in some pumpkin scones and we loved them. We had to teach our parents how to play NUMERO. It was a fun morning. Cailtyn

Planning for the 2017 school year is now underway. In order for us to plan accurately for our staffing and class numbers we need to know if your family is not returning to Excelsior Primary in 2017. If your family is not returning to Excelsior Primary next year, would you kindly let the office staff know you are leaving and where your family will be attending school in 2017.

Chaplain and P&C Morning Tea

Dear Parents

After the success of our Meet the Chaplain afternoon tea held in term 2, the P&C and I are happy to announce that we have scheduled another meet and greet for this term. The P&C have kindly agreed to host a morning tea in the staffroom on Thursday 17 November at 9:00am. This will be a great opportunity for interested parents and family members to catch-up with me and find out more about my role in the school and how I may be able to assist your child within the school setting. The P&C will be providing some delicious sweets for the morning tea, so why not pop in for a cuppa and a chat.

Thank you Chantal Pereira Chaplain

Providing an opportunity to ‘Free Play,’ enables all children the ability and freedom to PLAY. It promotes emotional well-being and happiness, team work, creative play and physical activity. We love it!

2017 Book Lists Our 2017 book lists have been finalised and will go out to the students this week. After putting the Personal Lists out to tender and reviewing the submissions, your School Board has approved Ziggies Educational Supplies as our chosen provider this year.

Count Us In

Last Thursday we went to the under cover area to sing Let It Play. We watched a live stream of people at Sydney singing Let It Play. It was for their 10th Birthday. More than 1000 people were singing Let It Play. There was a famous person from Play School and he did a warm up with the people in Sydney and us. Some people that were deaf were doing sign language. This was nice to see the song being done this way. We watched the streaming for the whole time of the assembly and then together with Sydney and the rest of Australia we sang Let It Play. It was nice to be apart of the Count Us In celebration.
