3/19/2020 Re: Campus Closure Notice Attention Excelsior Students and Parents: In compliance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) COVID 19/Coronavirus social distancing protocols, all Excelsior Charter School campuses and school sponsored activities will be suspended until Monday May 4, 2020. We will continue to monitor this decision adhering to the guidance provided by the CDC, the San Bernardino Department of Public Health, the California Department of Education and the California Governor’s office. We understand this presents a hardship and is disappointing to all Excelsior students, families and staff. Please note: Excelsior Charter Schools has no known positive diagnosis for the COVID-19/Coronavirus for any student, parent or staff member. Excelsior Charter Schools will continue providing a full academic program via our Independent Study model. During the campus closure Excelsior Charter Schools will provide the following supports:

• Full instructional support for all grades (7th-12th) using teleconferencing and/or

videoconferencing. • Available tutoring. • Support for Students with Disabilities. • Due to the California Governor’s 24-hour Stay Home order lunch service will be suspended

with the last day of service being March 19, 2020. • All course testing will take place at home using the Canvas platform. • Electronic devices available as needed. • Enrollment available online during campus closure. • In observance of our Spring Break, no educational services will be provided from April 10th

through April 17th. We will resume all independent study supports on April 20, 2020. • All supports will be provided or coordinated through your assigned Facilitator.

At present Monday May 4, 2020 is the scheduled date to resume normal campus operations. Due to environmental uncertainty the date may be modified based on the guidance of the CDC, Department of Health, San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools and the California Governor’s office.
