3. Exams: Pass/fail? Passing a subject ?
Min. 10/20 (= credit ) Only the courses < 10/20 2nd exam period
Obtaining a master degree? If credits obtained for 60 units
6
Weighted average of both parts ≥ 10/20 = “credit” for that course
10/20 for one part? “transfer” Example :
Stat A (3 SU) and Stat B (4 SU)If : A = 8/20, B=11/20: (8*3SU + 11*4SU) = 9.7/20 -> 10/20
(3+4)SU
Credit for Stat (A+B)!!!
Exam result for a course that consists of two parts
7
If you have 7 or less for one part of the course, the total score will be that score
Example : Stat A (3 SU) and Stat B (4 SU)
If : A= 6/20, B=15/20 Final score: 6/20: no credit in total for Stat!!!
However: transfer for the B-part (15/20)
Exam result for a course that consists of two parts
<10/20 2nd exam period
Register digitally for the 2nd exam period!
2 chances to pass the course
Eg fail course in January 2nd chance in August/September
Eg fail course in June 2nd chance in August/September
<10/20 2nd exam period
Best result : You keep the best mark! (only within the same academic year)
Eg Macro-Economics
January: 9/20 August/September: 6/20
=> You keep the 9/20
Also for parts of courses
January and June: Stat A = 8/20 and Stat B = 9/20 August/September: A = 10/20 and B = 7/20
=> Final result: A = 10/20 and B = 9/20
4. Tolerances Only for minor insufficient marks
(FX=8 or 9) not for 7 or less
