Our glassworks in Pula / Croatia combines the traditional know-how of experienced glass makers with unique, suction feeder technology in order to produce blown glass products with optimum precision and quality.

PRECISION GLASS

PRECISION BORE TUBING

DURAN® precision glass is characterised by its outstanding chemical and

physical properties. Minimal thermal expansion and resistance to thermal

shock make DURAN® borosilicate glass 3.3 suitable for a particularly wide

range of applications.

On the basis of innovative technologies and our decades of experience,

we produce precision bore tubing (KPG®) with tolerances down to the

micrometer (µm) range - depending on diameter and length.

MULTI-WALLED KPG® TUBING High pressure.

We manufacture our precision bore tubing with optimal precision by heating

glass tubes and vacuum heat shrinking them onto precision mandrels.

This technique enables DWK Life Sciences to manufacture precision bore

tubing with a defined inside diameter from 0.150 mm up to 296 mm with

the smallest possible tolerances.

With over 400 different cylindrical and 150 conical KPG® dimensions to

choose from, combined with various wall thicknesses and individual hot and

cold processing methods, we can manufacture your product based on your

ideas, designs and requirements.

GROUND SURFACE Using diamond grinding tools, we can produce external diameters with the tightest tolerances of only ± 0.003 mm. Such values in the micrometer (µm) range would otherwise only be possible using metal processing techniques. We can even achieve exact surface roughness values according to your special requirements.

POLISHED SURFACE Surface polishing is an additional finishing process that enables us to produce a technically transparent surface after the grinding process.

POLYURETHANE COATING FOR SURFACE PROTECTION We guarantee the safety of your products. A PU-coating (polyurethane) provides effective chip, impact and leakage protection.

We supply blown glass milk jars from 4 – 50 l to the world‘s leading

suppliers of milking machines. Our product range comprises: recorders,

receivers and sanitary trap. Logos, scales and graduations are applied

according to standard or special customer requirements.

Our lighting glass for outdoor and indoor environments is particularly

suitable for applications where a high risk of explosion, high pressure,

extremely high or low temperatures as well as large temperature

and weather variations occur, or when contact with sea water is inevitable:

in chemical and petrochemical industries, on oil and gas platforms,

in mining, marinas, tunnels, streets, airports and many other industrial

or potentially hazardous or explosive environments.

Thanks to the optimal chemical and physical properties of DURAN®,

our products are also used in washing machines. These glasses

are produced according to specific demands of washing machine

manufacturers in close cooperation with our experts.

DURAN® borosilicate glass with its linear thermal expansion

coefficient of 3.3 x 10-6 K-1 makes it ideal for any application

where heat resistance is required. It is used in a wide range of

technically sophisticated, attractive and functional everyday

products as components for small household appliances, e.g.

boilers, mixer beakers, coffee machines, cooking pots and vessels.
