Witchcraft and the Magic of the Goddess21. ---. The Love Spell.22. ---. Witch Crafting.23. Eilers, Dana D. Pagans and the Law: Understanding Your Rights.24. Farrar, Janet & Stewart. The Life & Times of a Modern Witch25. ---. The Pagan Path: The Wiccan Way of Life.26. ---. The Witches’ Way. Inner-Court Material. The oath-bound traditions caused

an uproar when this material was published, and they have since decided to neither confirm nor deny its authenticity.

27. Farrar, Stewart. What Witches Do.28. Fitch, Ed. A Grimoire of Shadows: Outer-Court training material.29. ---. Magickal Rites from the Crystal Well. Not specifically “Outer-Court”

material, though it certainly can be used as such.30. Franklin, Anna. Hearth Witch.31. ---. Handfastings. I contributed a chapter to this text!32. Gardner, Gerald. The Meaning of Witchcraft. I believe that DOREEN VALIENTE

may have ghostwritten this book under Gardner’s direction.33. ---. Witchcraft for Today. The first book on modern Witchcraft ever to be

written (I have a CD of interviews featuring Gardner himself!). If DOREEN

VALIENTE is the esteemed “Mother of Modern Witchcraft”, than Gerald Gardner, who was initiated into an Old Witch Coven, is its Father!

34. Greenwood, Susan. Magic, Witchcraft, and the Otherworld: An Anthropology. 35. Grimassi, Raven. Witchcraft: A Mystery Tradition.36. Grist, Tony and Aileen. The Illustrated Guide to Wicca. A lavishly

photographed coffee-table book.37. Gryffin, Sally. Wiccan Wisdom Keepers: Contains the last public speech that

DOREEN VALIENTE gave before her death.38. Haining, Peter. The Anatomy of Witchcraft.39. Holzer, Hans. Born Again: The Truth About Reincarnation.40. ---. The New Pagans: Contains some more insights into Inner-Court material.41. ---. Witches: True Enounters…42. Hopman, Elen Evert and Lawrence Bond. Being A Pagan: Druids, Wiccans, and

Witches Today.43. Huson, Paul. Mastering Witchcraft.44. Jones, Evan John. Witchcraft: A Tradition Renewed.45. Jordan, Michael. Witches: An Encyclopedia of Paganism and Magic. Recounts

a Near Death experience that DOREEN VALIENTE endured.46. Kaldera, Raven and Tannin Schwartzstein. Handfasting and Wedding Rituals:

Inviting Hera’s Blessing.47. Kelley, Aidan. Crafting the Art of Magick. More Inner-Court material. He has

since been accused of breaking oaths as a result of this book by publishing excerpts from the Gardnerian Book of Shadows. It is also due to him that we, here in America, call the Autumn Equinox Sabbat by the name of “Mabon”.

48. Leek, Sybil. The Complete Art of Witchcraft.49. Lipp, Deborah. The Elements of Ritual: Air, Fire, Water & Earth in the

Wiccan Circle: I wish that this book had been written several decades ago! It’s that brilliant!

50. Leland, Charles G. Aradia, of the Gospel of the Witches. (Expanded edn.)51. Luhrmann, T.M. Persuasions of the Witch’s Craft: Ritual Magic in

Contemporary England.52. Magliocco, Sabina. Neo-Pagan Art & Altars: Making Things Whole.53. Martello, Leo. Witchcraft: The Old Religion.54. Morgan, Sheena. The Wicca Handbook: A Complete Guide to Witchcraft &

Magic. A lavishly photographed coffee table book!55. Orion, Loretta. Never Again the Burning Times: Paganism Revived.56. Pennick, Nigel. The Eldritch World.57. Rabinovitch, Shelley. The Encyclopedia of Modern Witchcraft & Neo-

Paganism: Contains DOREEN VALIENTE’S “Charge of the God”—the companion to the “Charge of the Goddess”—which has never been published elsewhere.

58. St. George, E. A. Rites of Shadows. Allegedly contains the original Gardnerian “Holy Name” of the God and the Goddess: Zarach and Zaruna.

59. Slater, Herman. A Book of Pagan Rituals: Trad. Outer-Court Material.60. ---. Pagan Rituals III: There is no “Pagan Rituals II” which has been absorbed

into the contents of this text as a sequel to A Book of Pagan Rituals.

62. Starhawk. The Earth Path: Grounding Your Spirit in the Rhythms of Nature.63. ---. The Spiral Dance, 20th Anniversary edn.64. Valiente, Doreen. An ABC of Witchcraft Past & Present.65. ---. Dionysus.9. Dexter, Miriam Robbins. Whence the Goddess: A Source Book.10. Eller, Cynthia. The Myth of Matriarchal Prehistory: Why an Invented Past

Won’t Give Women a Future. This is a horrendous polemic whose author constructs a “straw man argument” that insists that, merely by finding other academic studies she is, therefor, able to “destroy” the belief that women ever held a position that was societally equal to that of men; she also pejoratively labels even the most careful scholar that suggests that women may have been on equal footing with men as a “matriarchalist”. She almost certainly wrote this book to acquire tenure!

11. Farrar, Janet & Stewart. The Witches’ God.12. ---. The Witches’ Goddess.13. Gimbutas, Marija. The Goddesses and Gods of Old Europe: Myths & Cult

buy of my life to date: I could not find it anywhere on-line for less than $50-$75 (it’s highly coveted), but low and behold it turned up at the Half Price Book Store for $6.00!!! I was worried that they would tell me there had been a

mistake at the check out because I only had $10.00, and when I walked out with my fabulous find I felt like I had “stolen” something in a sense, because I know how valuable it is.

8. Dunwich, Gerina. A Witch’s Halloween.9. Farrar, Janet & Stewart. Eight Sabbats for Witches.10. Franklin, Anna. Yule: History, Lore & Celebration.11. Green, Ellin. Midsummer Magic: A Garland of Stories, Charms, and Recipes:

astonishing admission that when he wrote his earlier polemics, Pagan Religions and Triumph, that he intentionally omitted any data that he came across that showed ties and parallels between modern Witchcraft and ancient Paganism. Why this admission seems to have made no stir within the Pagan community, I cannot claim to know. I quoted him, verbatim, on the Witches Voice FB page and the moderator, there, Peg Aloi, deleted my post that amounts to censorship and willful blindness by the Pagan community!
