Maggie is a native of Mt. Pleasant, a graduate of Wando High School, Clemson University and Columbia Theological Seminary. She is the Senior Pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Maggie and David and their children Norah and Charlotte will be taking up their life and work with us on July 2nd. Parents and children: Don’t forget to pick up a quiet church bag on your way into “big church” (also known by the adults as the Sanctuary). The bags and Bibles for the children to use during the sermon are located in bas-kets (1) by the piano at the front of the church and (2) to the left of the main doors when you walk into “big Church”! “Thank you to the Children’s Council for helping our children Know Jesus, Love Jesus and Follow Jesus!

Serving Trays Needed for Molly Wier Hall Silver plate and glass serving trays are needed for use when food is being served in Molly Wier Hall for funeral receptions, Sunday morning coffee fellowship, Presbyterian Women events, and other special occasions sponsored by the Church. Brooks Holt Receives Presbyterian Women Award

At their May Birthday Luncheon, the Presbyterian Women presented Brooks Holt with an Honorary Life Membership in recognition of her numerous contributions to the life of First (Scots) Presbyterian Church. She was presented with a sterling silver pin, personalized certificate and her name will be added to the commemorative plaque in Molly Wier Hall. As treasurer of the First (Scots) Presbyterian Women for the past 6 years, Brooks has served the organization in a most responsible, accurate and professional manner and worked diligently behind the scenes to insure success of all endeavors. She has graciously shared her home and hospitality for numerous events for the P r e s b y t e r i a n W o m e n a n d c o n g r e g a t i o n o f t h e c h u r c h . As a current Elder, Brooks serves on the World Mission Committee. Thanks to Brooks for her commitment and dedication to the service of our Lord through First (Scots) Presbyterian. Church.

FOR YOUTH WHO HAVE COMPLETED 6TH-12TH GRADES MEET AT THE KIRK HOUSE (62 King St) unless noted otherwise

JUNE 7(3-7PM): Beach Day: Join us as we escape to Folly Beach for an afternoon of sun, sand, and waves. Afterwards we will stop for dinner before returning to the Kirk House. Be sure to bring sunscreen and money for dinner.

JUNE 11-15 (9AM-12PM): Volunteer at this year’s Vacation Bible School! Contact our co-directors to sign up: Lizzie Hamilton ([email protected]) and Hunter Dawson ([email protected]).

JUNE 15-16 (4PM-4PM): Camping Trip - It’s time to spend the night in the great outdoors. Join us as we travel to Edisto Beach State Park for a celebration of God’s creation that will include a campfire, time on the beach, and your friends. Be on the lookout for registration information.

The Kirk Café is open this summer on Sunday mornings from 8:45-9am.
