HDMI

The HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a compact interface for transferring audiovisual data with a video resolution of 1080p and audio performances with no equals.Since its creation, the HDMI has gone through many changes, but the HDMI cables and its connector remained unchanged in order to ensure the compatibility with older devices. The latest versions support advanced features such as Ethernet connectivity and 3D.

Version 1.3. Increases the data transmission frequency to 340 MHz and the transmission capacity to 10.2 Gbs/s. This leads to an increase of the colour depth and to the support of Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Version 1.4. This new release provides support to video with an much higher definition than high resoluton. It supports the 3840x2160 4K Ultra HD resolution with a refresh rate of 24Hz, 25Hz or 30Hz). This release adds the HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC), the Ethernet connection that allows data exchange and the sharing of the Internet connectivity between two connected HDMI devices.

With the increase of audio-video devices available on the market also increases the variety of cables. Nowdays there are two large families of video connections: Analog and Digital.

VGA / XGA (Analog) In the last years, many LCD and Plasma Tvs have been equipped with this type of connection. Thanks to this cable you can connect almost all computers to your TV with the great advantage of projecting images into a screen whose sizes are greater than the sizes of avarage desktop monitors. The VGA is quite susceptible to degradation. For this reason we offer only shielded or double-shielded VGA cables.

DVI (Digital) The main features of this cables is that it brings a digital singal and can transmitt audio. The DVI-I cables are hybrids since they support both the digital and analogue signals. Using an adapter it is possible to connect the cable to a VGA input. This solution is the most versatile. We offer the Dual Link technology which supports an higher resolu-tion (2560x1600) than Single Link. In addition to the higher resolu-tion, the Dual Link provides also an increased colour depth and a refresh rate of 120hz. Dual Link cables are backward compatible with Single Link connections.

PATCH

Patch cables are cables used to connect network devices for signal routing. Ewent provides highly reliable and durable patch cables of category 6 and 5e for your high performance networking ap-plications, network adapters, switches, hubs, routers, DSL/cable modems and patch panels.

Cat5e is backward compatible with Cat5, while Cat6 is backward compatible with both Cat5 and Cat5e adding more performance gains over the previous standard. Ewent makes it simple to distin-guish the two categories using two different colorations for the cable connector, blue for cat. 5e and red for cat.6.

The push-pull connector allows to easily remove the connector without breaking it or any of its parts. Patch cables are available in many different colours in order to make it easier to organize them and distinguish them for their purpose.
