Student Questions
Last week you shared your evolution
questions with me. They were very good, and
while Id like to attempt to answer all of them,
Ive had to narrow them down to just a few.

What about females?
In the Journey of Man, female linage tracingwas virtually ignored. Can female lineages betraced with DNA markers too?
Yes, they certainly can, and have been forsome time.
Matrimonial lineages are traced with
mitochondrial DNA because virtually all of azygotes mitochondria are inherited from thefemale (mother). Search:Mitochondrial Eve

What About God?
Several questions focused on this topic.
A very good, balanced presentation can be
viewed onYoutube. It is part of the Evolution
series that you are familiar with.

Geography Question
Why is there so much uncertainty on why
humans are found everywhere when we know
that Pangaea existed? Couldnt our ancestors
have been living in Pangaea, and as a result,
they would naturally be spread over all of
todays continents?

Could Humans Have lived on Pangaea?
Humans (Homo sapiens) are a relatively new
species (less than one million years old). Lets look at this animation from the
Smithsonian. What did the world map look
like 1-10 million years ago?
