AT is a function which continually extracts a subjectthat the user pre-defines. After picking up pixelsof similar color and brightness around the selectedsubject, EVI-D30/D31 extracts the target by usingthe subject model based on light reflection andnonlinear camera processing. There are four modesfor pre-defining the subject.
AT-PAN/TILTThis function follows the moving subject automaticallyby controlling the pan & tilt motors without the useof special sensors.
AUTO ZOOMThis function automatically controls the zoom lens toensure that the size of the subject remains constant.
ATAEThe EVI-D30/D31 employs the auto exposure andadvanced backlight compensation systems to ensurethat the subject remains bright even in harsh backlightconditions. Because the subject position is known, acomparison can be made between its brightness and
that of the background and the camera subsequentlyadjusted to compensate for the conditions.
MD basically detects the difference between the initialreference image and the current image.
The conventional technique employed in MD uses onlythe brightness of the video signal. The EVI-D30/D31uses both the brightness and color which enables evenan object of the same brightness as the background
to be detected.
Changes in light conditions are constantlymonitored and the data in the reference imageadjusted.
A user can set two rectangular detection areasof any size and in any position of the scene.
Once motion is detected within the preselectedwindows an alarm signal is output which,for example, can commence the recording on a VCR.
This mode is made even more versatile bythe ability to adjust the detection brightness,
color and area.
