HOW DOES IT WORK?

Unlike an electric blanket which uses electriccoils to create heat, the Biomat uses acombination of fabrics and Amethyst stones togenerate far infrared rays which is thentransferred to the body as heat. The heat comesfrom friction generated within the body throughthe effects of far infrared rays. Far infrared rayswarm the inside of your body and the part ofyour body making contact with the Biomat.Should the temperature of any part of theBiomat exceed the set temperature, the thermalsensors distributed throughout the Biomat willcut off the electric current. When the Biomatreaches the selected temperature, the negativeion lights will come on and will stay on until theBiomat needs to raise the temperature. TheBiomat comes with an external control boxwhich allows you to adjust the desiredtemperature and usage time (between 2, 4, 8,or 12 hours). As an added safety feature, whenthe controller is set to 131°F or higher, it will automatically step down to 113°F after 4 hours.
