Welcome to the 3rd year of the Everybody's Reading Festival! This year’s festival will runfrom 29th September – 8th October 2012 and will take place all across Leicester City.There are a vast range of events and we are sure you will !nd something to tickle yourfancy! However, before we get started here are a few words about our sponsors.....

The initiative is chaired by Liz Warren (Strategic Lead for City Primary Heads) and Bill Morris (Director of Education in Partnership) and works in partnership with organisationsacross the city.

Readthe story together and then work as a teamto build the pigs houses of straw, woodand brick. Can you build them strongenough to stop the wolf blowing themdown? Then enjoy the rest of the day withthe farm animals and the picnic/play area!

Sunday 30th SeptemberWRITTEN ON WATER, A CELEBRATION OF AYLESTONE MEADOWSAylestone Meadows is a scientifically important nature reserve and popular venuefor families, dog walkers and cyclists. Manyspecies of plant and wildlife live amongst thepatchwork of flood meadows, woodland andwetlands - all within minutes of the City Centre.

This event will bring writers, wildlife experts,artists and members of the community together to create a collection of words andpictures celebrating Aylestone Meadows.Share your words, stories and memories ofthis special place with our team of volunteerWord Rangers. Create your own poetry orprose. Everyone's words will go towards anew Written On Water website and anthology. Maybe you prefer to paint, sketchor photograph? Rod is dyslexic but that certainly hasn’tstopped him from being a successfulwriter. He has written a number of novelsthat have Leicester as a backdrop - Backlash, Breakbeat and Burnout
