    THE PROBLEM

Irrespective of the scenario:Due to structural problems, catastrophes and wars - the most important thing is missing in many parts of the world:

    clean drinking water

Until now solutions were mainly based on reverse osmosis installa-tions whereby units with an output range of between 750 and 900 litres per hour easily fi ll a 20’ container. In addition to the complex transport logistics further problem areas are high energy require-ments and high maintenance costs.

    THE SOLUTION

    the solution

M.W.P. was developed to provide people who have to live in an environment where water is only available in inferior quality with clean, germ-free drinking water in an inexpensive and uncomplica-ted way.

M.W.P. is ideal for the perfect clarifi cation of cloudy, salt-free wa-ter contaminated with germs or chemicals. By using an additional sand fi lter, which can easily be built on site, even heavily contami-nated water can be converted back into drinking water by M.W.P.

    THE FUNCTIONALITY

M.W.P. works on the basis of a precipitation, UV and fi lter units. This results in the following advantages compared to the usual reverse osmosis plants:

extremely compact and therefore easy to transport

output performance at least 900 litres/hour

extremely low priced both in acquisition cost as also in running costs

Maintenance without in-depth special knowledge through simple construction

    FUNCTION/TREATMENTS

The following treatment steps are applied in the MWP:

    1. Precipitation. Coagulation of any suspended matters in the wa-ter (>0.1µm) e. g. oils, grease, impurities etc. to particle size >40 µm, which are then removed by fi lter sponges.

    2. UV treatment: disinfection (99.9%)

    3. Fine fi ltration with: PCW – PF MWP: Silver as an agent/ birm/ zeolith/ active carbon: Fine purifi cation/ iron, heavy metals, ammonium, caesium, strontium/ drug residues, hormones, fl u-orides, trihalomethanes, lead particles, solvents, chlorine and ozone, bacteria.

    Filter materials and their properties:

Birm: decreases and/or eliminates high iron and manganese values by oxidation.

Zeolith: decomposes inorganic contamination (dissolving rate of strontium or caesium amounts to 99.9%) furthermore it cleans the water from heavy metals, ammoniac and nitrates.

Active carbon: removal of odours and tastes (e.g. chlorine, ozone, humic matters) as well as herbicides, fungicides and drug residues etc.

In this way the water is cleaned by the double removal of dirt, odours, iron admixtures and dioxins.

    FUNCTION/STRUCTURE

As the name says, MWP is a highly effi cient micro purifi cation plant which, due to its high-precision & patented dosing of precipitati-on agents is largely superior to the standard communal treatment plants.

    Chamber 1

Water is injected into the mixing tube. The “Wave-Pump” auto-matically doses the precipitation agent “PAC” into the water to be cleaned.

The “precipitation” agents cause the following:

    • Emulation of all suspended turbidity ≥ 0.1 µm• Results in enhanced and faster elimination of turbidity• Signifi cantly improves water quality• Reduces sedimentation times• Increases service life of the downstream fi lters

After the “precipitation agent” has reacted with the water (In total approx. 60 – 90 sec.) and chamber 1 is fi lled, the water fl ows into chamber 2 via an overfl ow tube after being pre-fi ltered through a 40 µm sponge fi lter.

  • www.micro-water-plant.com Micro Water Plant UG (haftungsbeschränkt)Härtsfeldstraße 103, 73466 Lauchheim, Germany

    - 10 -

    FUNCTION/STRUCTURE

    Chamber 2

In this chamber the water continues to react with the “precipitation agent”.

The second sponge fi lter – pore size 40 µm – fi lters the water again. The sponge fi lter should be cleaned at least once a day with clean water. Idealy also fl ush the chambers (at least once a month).

    Chamber 3

The fi ltered water from chamber 2 is collected in chamber 3. Only after opening the dispense valve will the water be treated to beco-me drinking water and can be distributed.

Once the water reaches the maximum level of chamber 3, then the supply pump and thereby also the dosing of the “precipitation agent” is stopped via a fl oat switch.

Only when the minimum level is reached both systems are activa-ted again.

    FUNCTION/STRUCTURE

    UV-Lamp

The water treated in chamber 3 is conducted through the UV-irradi-ation. Here 99.95% of all germs are deactivated. After exiting from the UV-Lamp the water is again fi ltered by a special fi lter.

    P-C-W Filter

This fi lter cannot contaminate due to its design and is therefore installed downstream as a fi ne and safety fi lter. Possible germs are retained again in this fi lter and are deactivated through the oligo-dynamic eff ect. This fi lter additionally retains a large part of fungi-cides, pesticides, hormones or residues of drugs by adsorption. The downstream piping remains germ-free.

    M.W.P. MISSION IN GHANA

M.W.P. in Ghana in the orphanage of the foundation Home for Hope - in the small village Gomoa Tarkwa in the south of Ghana.

The Micro Water Plant was unpacked on site and put into ope-ration within 20 minutes by two young women with very limited technical experience.

This simple commissioning on site clearly shows that the Micro Water Plant exactly meets the requirements for which it was developed and produced.

The construction, commissioning and production of drinking water can be carried out at any time, even by non-professionals.
