Mohammad, 17, was shunned by his community following a diagnosis of leprosy. His late diagnosis saw him need surgery on both eyes, hands and legs.

After arriving at The Leprosy Mission’s Shahdara Hospital a year ago, however, he is on the road to recovery. He has had reconstructive surgery on both hands and on one leg. He is awaiting surgery on his other leg as well as eye surgery to stop him from going blind.
