Bulletin BoardStewardship Season is HereTrinity’s 2015 stewardship campaign is currently underway. We are asking for your pledge of financial support of Trinity’s mission and ministries in Lower Manhattan, in New York, and through-out the broader Anglican Communion around the world. If you have already made your pledge for the coming year, thank you. If you pledged for this year, please prayerfully consider increasing your pledge amount for 2015. Perhaps you attend Trinity Church and put money in the offering plate anonymously. We thank you for those gifts, and we also ask you prayerfully to consider for-malizing your pledge of financial support. You can pledge any amount and be assured that your pledge will remain confiden-tial. Stewardship brochures and pledge cards at the back of Trin-ity Church and St. Paul’s Chapel. Sunday, November 16th, is our Stewardship Harvest Ingathering. Trinity’s Rector-Elect, The Rev. Dr. William Lupfer, will preach at the 9am and 11am liturgies. After the 11:15am service all are invited to the Stewardship Har-vest Celebration in the Parish Hall. To confirm your attendance please contact Terrell Moody at 212.602.0710 or [email protected].

Altar of RemembranceEach year in the weeks before All Saints’ Sunday (this year on Nov. 2), Trinity creates and blesses an Altar of Remembrance where members of the community may leave mementos of loved ones who have died, and light candles to honor them. Please visit the altar in the back corner of the church to participate, and attend the Feast of All Faithful Departed (Monday, Nov. 3, at 12:05pm) when the altar will be blessed.

Trinity’s Doors are Open (just not the front one)The scheduled construction work has begun on Trinity Church’s front entrance, which will result in a beautifully renewed vestibule, with restored bronze doors, improved lighting, and new inner glass doors that swing open easily. When you arrive at the church, you may use both front side entrances, as well as the rear entrance (wheelchair ac-cessible) to enter. The construction should last no more than several weeks, when the front doors will once again be wide open to the world!

2015 Pilgrimage Registration Closing Nov. 15Sunday, March 8-Friday, March 20, 2015Registration for the 2015 Trinity Pilgrimage ends November 15. As this is our third trip to the Holy Land, we will not make the trip again until 2018 or later, so if you have intended to travel there as a pilgrim, now is your time to go! Please call Fr. Daniel at 347.601.9612 for more information.

Congregational VoiceThat disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Si-mon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on some clothes, for he was naked, and jumped into the sea. When they had gone ashore, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish on it, and bread” ( John 21:7, 9). What joy is felt at “it is the Lord!” A surprise, a coming—God appears not when and in whom we expect. It is the Lord! A stranger, a child, a home-less person. It is the Lord! Right in front of us, calling us while we are naked, saddened, confused. It is the Lord! Bringing fire, bringing good food, good bread before we can add to the feast. It is the Lord! —Susan Garcia
