Ever played the game outburst? Put a minute on a timer and have your group shout out examples of lust/sexual impurity from our day to day culture. (this could be a song/movie title, celebrity, news story, etc)Have the group leader write down as many as they can.
Now put another minute on the clock and do the same for
examples of purity.
Then take a few moments to compare the lists.
1. What is the worst sexual sin you have ever committed?...
Just kidding don’t answer that! I know a lot of us feared this group session was going to be awkward so lets start with something a bit lighter.
How would you define sexual purity in a Christian dating
relationship? How about in a married relationship and a
single relationship?
2. Who is someone single, dating, or married whom you are inspired by their purity?
What about them stands out to you?

3. What is Solomon saying about sexual intimacy?
What are some of the consequences of having sex outside of marriage?
Read James 1:13–15 and 1 Peter 5:8.
4. According to these verses, where does temptation come from? How are we to combat this?
Read Matthew 5:28.5. What does this verse tell us about the seriousness of lustful thoughts? Where is the line between where an innocent thought ends and lust begins?Read Philippians 4:86. What does it mean to remain pure/chaste?
Read 2 Samuel 11:4,5; 12:7–12. 7. What consequences did adultery bring to David, and what are the consequences of adultery today?
8. Why do you think adultery occurs in marriages and where does it begin? 9. Why do you think adultery is a serious problem, even among Christians?
10. What does it mean to you that Rahab “the prostitute” and David the adulterer are mentioned in the Hebrews Hall of Faith? Hebrews 11:31-32
