Silver cup "21st Century Renaissance" symbolizes well-being, fortune, and the force of life. The cup incorpo-rates gilded engravings, which represents the flow of money from ancient times up to this day. The artist is the brilliant jewelry master Oļegs Auzers and his students. That enormous body of water known as the sea or ocean is eternal, seemingly steadfast, monotonous, often even depressive. Alas, this is the view of the ignorant bystander seeking rest and relaxation on a brief seaside stroll. For Dace Lielā – it is a whole different story. She has ample motivation; any object she paints is researched thoroughly for days on end. JUSTIN KAUFLIN + JAMES MORRISON & LATVIAN RADIO BIG BAND: A "RĪGAS RITMI 2016 DOUBLE BILL02.07., 19:00Jazz pianist, composer and producer Justin Kauflin has been a part of the music scene since his teenage years. The challenge of jazz he began dealing with seriously at 15, eventually earning a number of awards at festivals in the U.S. James Morrison and the Latvian Radio Big Band have put together a program of re-arranged Latvian folk songs that have been given the name "Mare Balticum". Morrison is an Australian multi-instrumentalist who has already earned ovations from audiences in Riga for giving ancient ethnic songs a brassy new sound.Riga Congress Centre

"RĪGAS RITMI 2016"-OLAINFARM JAZZ NIGHTS: PARIS COMBO02.07., 22:00Paris Combo, set to perform at the festival, consists of a keyboard player and trum-petist from Australia, bass guitarist and drummer from France, and a French-Algeri-an guitarist. It goes without saying that each brings to the project their considerable experience in musicianship, but always with an innovative approach. Vocalist Belle Dubarry – the leader of the band – can boast of askew metaphors in her lyrics where alienation, sense of loss and passion are appropriately set in a cabaret under pink spotlight. The scene is completed and complemented with a film- noirish scent of expensive perfume, and a veil of blue cigarette smoke.
