It is possible to do this either by using a bank standing order or by using special envelopes which can be given in during the Sunday service. If you would like to join the scheme, please see the Treasurer, Mike Strutt, or any one of the sidespeople. Scout and Guide Groups Macclesfield Parish Church Scout and Guide Group provides youth activities throughout the week for young people aged from 5 - 26 as well as flexible volunteering opportunities for adults. Induction loop: St Michael’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Warden if you need assistance with this. A children's area is available in the Legh Chapel (on RH side as you come into the church) for children under supervision, during services and at other times. There are bags with books and toys for small children. Roots: Our young people’s groups in the 9.30 and 11.00am services are known as “Roots”. The young people leave and return to the main service at given points. Gluten-free wafers are available at all Communion services at this church. If you require these, please say “gluten-free” when you take communion. We are a Fairtrade Church committed to using only Fairtrade tea & coffee. Tokens of Giving As a sign that you give by Standing Order to the cost of mission & ministry at St Michael’s, you are encouraged to pick up a glass pebble on your way into Church, and add it to the basket as the Offertory is taken. Today’s Healthy Churches Theme A healthy church is one where children &

young people are helped to belong, contribute and be nurtured in their faith.

Stewards Needed As the Town Centre church in the marketplace, St Michael’s will be opening its doors and welcoming visitors to the Macc Pride event on Saturday 6th

July. We need stewards to offer a couple of hours each so that we can be open all day from 8.00am – 8.00pm. Please contact Tricia Atherton ([email protected]) or Rev Rob Wardle or David Mayers. Thank-you.

Circuit Children & Families Co-ordinator We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our Circuit Staff Team as Co-ordinator for our

Children & Families Ministry. The role involves encouraging and equipping local churches across the circuit in our work with families (children & parents/carers) in and outside of the churches. The role is based at Macclesfield Methodist Church, and involves working across the circuit. Salary up to £23,676 p.a. Flower Festival: Last Day

Sponsored Walk Chris Wilcock is undertaking a 30 mile challenge walk on Saturday 13th July, raising money for Christie’s in memory of his mum. A sponsorship form is available and all

donations are welcome.

This Week’s Eco Tip We all receive a lot of junk mail, often with a return envelope we don't use. With a label (or just the address crossed out) these make useful envelopes for many purposes instead

of using a new one.

Street Angels need you!! Street Angels are volunteers successfully working with the Police, local clubs and pubs, and the Council. They

help people, whoever they are and whatever their situation, by listening, caring, and offering practical help (including free flip-flops and water!) late on Saturday evenings. This is one of the initiatives run by Macclesfield Churches and urgently needs new recruits, male and female. Swifts Have you seen or heard them yet – around church or elsewhere? The local RSPB group invites you to find out more by joining one of their swift walks: Monday 24th and Wednesday 26th June both 6-7.30pm, meeting in the

churchyard at St Michael’s.

Treacle Sunday Sunday, 30th June is our next Treacle Service and we are hoping to keep the church open in the
