The Event Planning Training Course will step your staff through event planning, design, budgeting, basic marketing,
communication plans, and evaluation—and prepare your organization for the energizing world of building great events.
This course is designed to provide your administrative staff, event planners, and fund development teams the training required to
ensure the completion of the goals of your corporate and fundraising events.
The delivery format consists of:

§ Opportunity to plan an event with a fundraising component with the one-on-one guidance of a professional event planner.
Overall Learning Objectives
Ensure participants are able to use the knowledge and skills attained in order to successfully plan an event
1. Execute an event from conceptualization to production.
2. Create, analyze and apply a communication and marketing plan using marketing and social media principles.
3. Distinguish and acquire business skills required of independent event planners/managers.
4. Adopt and apply the financial management strategies of budgeting and sponsorship to an event.
5. Develop risk management plans and criteria to ensure safe and successful event production.
6. Create floor plans to scale to ensure event flow.
7. Apply human resource techniques to recruit, train, and manage event staff and volunteers.
8. Plan and execute a community engagement strategy to capture volunteers and secure local business support into
corresponding events.
9. Persuasively communicate and present verbally and in writing to all stakeholders, suppliers and delegates.

This course is designed to provide administrative staff, event planners and fund development teams with training to assist them in
understanding and carrying out the responsibilities of planning corporate and fundraising events.
Different kinds of events require different degrees of complexity and this program recognizes those differences in its registration
fees. Below are estimated training hours and registration fees for various events.
