Gallery Opening and Agency Open House I served as project manager for the opening of the Real People. Real Stories. gallery. The agency executive director provided a general overview of how the ceremony should be conducted. Per her instructions, I contacted Topeka area dignitaries to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony, including the mayor and local Kansas legislators. I worked with maintenance staff on the room layout and on the best method to unveil the gallery. After the gallery opening, Kansas Historical Society staff members hosted an open house. I served as project manager. Each department had a booth and displayed items depicting the work performed within the department. I organized the group and made certain everyone had what they needed to put together interesting, informative displays.

Taste of Southeast Kansas

I served as project coordinator for the bus tour of Crawford County. The executive director outlined the tour, and I scheduled the tourist spots, guest speakers, and meals. I also solicited bids from three bus companies and a few hotels.

An important part of the Taste of Southeast Kansas bus tour was the food. With suggestions from the executive director, I planned menus for two lunches, one dinner, and three snacks. I also scheduled entertainment and locations to eat.

MomsEveryday Expo

I managed a booth for the Historical Society at the expo. People of all ages stopped by to check out the replicated cowboy items, famous Kansan trading cards, and state symbol photos. I answered questions and provided contact names for agency resources.
