Foreword Can you hear us at the back? After 2 years of planning involving loads of people and countless hours of preparation Get In 2018 is here! This is a great opportunity for the whole County to come together, from the youngest Beaver Scout to the oldest Leader. There will be new activities to try and old favourites to enjoy again. For some it will be their first camp - others will be well used to sleeping under canvas. It will be a time to cement friendships and to make new friends. From the time you arrive until the time you leave, make the most of every moment. Huge thanks to all those who have made it possible, the organising team, the leaders and the parents and friends. Get In is the perfect example of the opportunities within Warwickshire. It's looking to be a monumental camp full of fun and excitement. A:Everyoneonsitewillhaveawristband,whichwillbecolourcoded.Noonewillbeallowedbeyondthemainentrancewithoutone.AnyonenotwearingawristbandandfoundwithinthesiteshouldbechallengedbyanappropriateadultandreportedtotheEventReception.Q:Whenwillwegetthewristbands? Wristbands will also show the event emergency number and two symbols. Participant wristbands will have a logo for water activities and rifle shooting - leaders must cross out the relevant symbols if permission has not been given for that activity.

FacilitiesPower:Therewon’tbeanypoweravailableonyourcampingpitchesunlessyouprovideagenerator,whichisallowedbutmustbeturnedoffby11pmandnotrestarteduntil7am.Drinkingwaterwillbeavailablefromhydrantslocatedaroundthesite.Thewaterwithintoilettrailerswillnotbefordrinkingorwashing.Washingwillneedtobedoneusingwatercollectedfromhydrantsandtakenbacktocamp,asthewaterfromtoilettrailersisnotfordrinkingorbrushingteethorgeneralwashing.Toiletnumbershavebeendoubledsincethe2015eventandwillbelocatedaroundthesiteingroupsoftrailers.Thesewillbeplentifulenoughsothatanycampingpitchshouldn’tbeanymorethan150metresawayfromatoilet.Therewillbestepsavailableinthetrailersforyoungpeopletostandon.ThewaterwithintoilettrailersisonlyforhandwashingandNOTfordrinkingorgeneralwashing.Portalooswon’tbelitduringthenighttime(butmaintoilettrailerswillbe),somakesureyoubringatorch!Pleasenotetherearenoelsandisposalpoints.Privateportalooscanbehiredbygroupsfortheirpersonaluse,tobelocatedontheircampingpitch.Thesemustbearrangedviaourbookingsteam.Thesewillbeatacostof£75each,andwillbeyoursfortheevent.Noservicingfortheseportalooswillbeavailable,sooncetheyarefull,theywillbeunusable.YoucanbookthisusingFormAavailablehere:www.getincamp.co.uk/bookings.Portalooswon’tbelitduringthenighttime(butmaintoilettrailerswillbe)somakesureyoubringatorch!Liquiddisposal-therearenodrainsonsite,socamperswillneedtoconstructwetpits.TheScoutAssociationhasissuedguidanceonthisaspartofaHygieneonCampdocument,availableonourdownloadspage:www.getincamp.co.uk/hygieneCatering:Therewillbenocateringfacilitiesprovidedforgroupsorleadersbytheevent.Cateringwillbearrangedbygroupsanddistricts.Smokingarea:Thereisadesignatedsmokingarea(awayfrompopulatedareas)markedonthesitemap.LostProperty:ThiswillbeheldattheEventReceptionmarqueeduringtheevent.Aftertheevent,photoswillbepostedonFacebook(www.facebook.com/getincamp)andheldforaperiodoftwoweeks.Anythingunclaimedafterthistimewillbeappropriatelydisposedof.

Yourcampingarea,andpitchingyoursiteRiskAssessing:Anythingthatgoesonwithinyourpitchboundariesisuptothatrespectivegroup’sleaderstoriskassess.GetInwillriskassessthingsfromthecarparktotheactivities,butthingslikecookingaredowntothegroupsalone.LargetentsandMarquees:Pleaseinformyourdistrictcontactshouldyouwishtobringalargemarqueeandtheycanlettheinfrastructureteamknow.WhenGroupsbringlargemarquees/messtentsonsitetheyneedtoidentifywheretheywishtolocateittoamemberoftheInfrastructureteam.Groupcontactswillbesentinformationaboutthispriortothecamp.Dogswon’tbeallowedonsite,exceptforassistancedogs.Fires:Theseareallowedbutmustbeoffthefloor,suchaswithinraisedaltarfires.Theground&grasssurroundingthefiremustbeprotectedfromheatandfallingembers-wesuggesttheyhavesomeboardingunderittopreventdamagetothegrass.Thereisnowoodavailableonsite,sopleasebringyourown.Undernocircumstancesshouldwoodberemovedfromthewoodedareaofthesite-pleasemakesureyourentiregroupisawareofthis.Thewoodsareoutofbounds!Camporganizershavetherighttoremovepermissionforfiresiftheyfeelthefireisgoingtodamagethegroundorcauseafirehazard.AnydamagetothegroundwhichhastoberepairedwillbechargedtotheGroup/District. SecurityTherewillbeaprofessionalsecuritycontractoronsiteduringThursday,FridayandSaturdaynight.Thesecurityoperativeswillhavetheirownvehicle,beregisteredwiththeofficialbodies,beDBScheckedandfullybriefedbytheGetIneventteam.Theywillbeperformingpatrolsofthesiteperimeter(includingcarparks)butwillnotbeenteringthecampingarea.Groupsstillneedtotakeresponsibilityforthesecurityoftheirownequipment(suchasmakingsurevaluablesarestoredsecurelyandnotleftout)sincethesitesecurityisonlyanadditionalmeasureandnotareplacementforgoodpractice.

SetUpBeforetheevent:SetupisallowedonThursday17th,between13:00and22:30,subjecttodistrictteamshavingcompletedtheirmarkingout.LeadersmaycampontheThursdaynight,butthereisastrictruleofnounder-18’sonsite.Therewillbereducedfacilities,howevertoiletsanddrinkingwaterwillbeavailable.OnFriday18th,setupwillcontinuebetween9:00and17:00.Vehicles:Vehicleswillbeallowedonsiteduringsetup.At17:00onFriday,therewillbeavehiclefreezeonthecampingandactivityareas.Anythinginthisspaceatthistimewillbestayinguntilthefreezeisliftedatapproximately17:00onSunday.Anyvehiclesremainingonsiteforthedurationofthecampmustnotbemovedwithinthesite.AnyvehicularaccessrequiredduringthefreezecanbearrangedviatheEventReception.

WaterZone-OffSiteActivitiesThereisnobodyofwater(suchasalake)onsite,sothewaterzonewillbetakingplaceatasitecalledFiveWays.Thisisapproximately5minutesdrivefromBramcoteBarracks.Minibusshuttlerunswillberunningthroughoutthedaytomovetheparticipantsofeachactivitysessionbetweenthetwosites,andondemandshouldtheneedarise.Theshuttlepickuppointwillbelocatedjustoutsidethemainactivityarea,nearwheretheweekendparkingandtrailerdrop-offpointislocated.Don’tworry,thiswillbesignposted!Therearehalfanhourgapsbetweenactivitysessionstoallowforthetimeitwilltaketomovesuchaquantityofpeople.Inordertomaximisethespeedoftransferbetweenthemainsiteand5Ways,minibuseswilltravelFULL.Thismaymeangroupshavetobesplittofillseats.Thereforeitisessentialthatbothyoungpeopleandadultsgodirecttothemarkedmeetingpoints,bothontheirarrivalat5Waysandupontheirreturntothemainsite,tomeetupasagroupandensureallarepresentbeforeprogressingontotheirnextactivity.Pleasehelpusbymakingsureallparticipantsandleadersareawareofthisbeforedepartingforthezone.
