Welcome to the 2015 Fleet Safety Conference

Safety is consistently one of the top concerns for fleet, risk and safety professionals, and senior management. Since being first held in 2012, the Fleet Safety Conference has addressed these safety issues head and on, and presents a multitude of solutions to help fleets operate more safely.

As a top priority for the country’s fleets, fleet safety transcends industry borders and job titles—reaching from fleet all the way to corporate boardrooms. You’ll find the agenda of this year’s conference addresses the needs of risk, safety, sales, human resources, and EHS professionals alike. Watson’s 36 year Shell career has included management positions in logistics, transport, engineering, operations and safety. He is a board member on the Global Road Safety Partnership and the Network of Employees for Traffic Safety. He is an active member of the United Nations Road Safety Collaboration committee and works with several Road Safety NGO’s and local governments in communities where Shell operates across the globe. David Teater, Senior Director, Transportation Strategic InitiativesNational Safety CouncilDavid D. Teater leads the NSC’s advocacy initiatives to reduce deaths and injuries associated with teen driving and distracted driving. David’s 30 year business career has included serving as CEO of several private companies including 20 years at an automotive supplier that provided research and strategy consulting services to most auto manufacturers. He served as a board member and investor, and helped launch a technology company developing solutions to distracted driving. David joined the NSC after its call for a nationwide ban on cell phone driving. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of distracted driving and has been featured in many national publications and news broadcasts.

followed closely by Monday 17.7 percent)

and Thursday (17.3 percent). Weekends

continue to represent the lowest percent of

overall accidents, with Saturday and Sunday combined accounting

When looking at the top five accident types, damaged while parked remains the No. 1 cause of vehicle accidents in 2013 at 11.3 percent, followed by the rear of the vehicle being hit by another driver.
