    EVAPORATION SYSTEMSAn evaporator, as defined in chemical engIneering, is an apparatus for efficIently usingthe heat from steam to evaporate water-In this process, water is boiled in a sequence ofvessels, each held at a lower pressure than the last. the vapor boiled off in one vesselcan be used to heat the next, and only the first vessel (at the highest pressure) requiresan external source of heat.

    FALLING FILM EVAPORATIONIn falling film evaporators the liquid is evaporated by forming thinfilm where the product is evenly distributed into the heating tubes.As thin film enters the tube it flows downwards at boilingtemperature and is partially evaporated .. In most cases steam is usedfor heating the evaporator.As the Product & Vapor flow together.The separation of the Concentrated product form its vapor undergoesin the lower part of the Calendria and the separator.

    FORCED C IRCULATION EVAPORATIONThis evaporator efficiently handles the evaporation of liquids witha high solid content. high vlscosttv, or a tendency to scale or foul.They are also often used as crystallizers.The system is often used as a finishing evaporator for theconcentration of liquids to a high solid content. followed by a lowsolid multt-st age, TVR evaporator (Termal vapor Recompresion).Boiling in the Forced Circulation evaporator is suppressed in theheat exchanger by backpressure and takes place when the liquidenters the lower pressure vapor liquid separator chamber.

    FILM DRYERAgitated Thin Film Dryer is an indirectly heated continuous dryer. The feed canbe in the form of a solution, slurry, wet cake or paste. If required it operatesunder vacuum. We offer both vertical and horizontal versions.The vertical Agitated Thin Film Dryer has a jacketed cylinder with a closely fit-ting rotor at the centre. During operation the rotor revolves at high speed.The feed distributor spreads the incoming feed uniformly over the cylindertop periphery. The rotor blades pick up the material, spread it over heated sur-face in a thin film and agitate the film intensely, as it rapidly travels down. Thematerial transforms from solution to slurry, wet cake, wet powder and finallydry powder as it travels from. top to bottom. The vapour generated risescounter-currently to the inbuilt entrainment separator. Here the entraineddroplets are separated from the vapour stream. The clean vapour leaves thedryer through the vapour nozzle at top .. Feeds can be processed without pre-concentration or dilution. Indirect heating and drying in absence of air. Quick processing time, best suitable for heat sensitive products. Fine powder of uniform consistency can eliminate pulverizer from down-strea m step.

    Intense agitation suppresses fouling, keeps heat transfer surface clean. Excell.ent turn down capability. Low product holdup, ideal for hazardous applications. Different rotor configurations to suit variety of applications.
