Project Name: North Campus Chilled Water Lines Project Scope: New underground infrastructure including 30 inch chilled
water supply and return piping will be installed from the Central Utility Plant running northeast past Cook Hall and terminating north of Mudd Library. The project is also planned to include new steam and condensate lines.
Project Highlights: These new utilities are planned to serve current and future north campus development.
Important Dates: The project is scheduled to start immediately after Commencement, June 20th, 2011 and to be completed by March 2013.

The Campus Drive road closure near Pancoe designated by the area shown on the Construction Map is anticipated to be closed from June 20th, 2011 through March 2012.

■ Map Identification No: 13 Project Name: Silverman Hall Cryo EM Lab Project Scope: Renovate a 600 square foot lab for a Cryo Electron
Microscope.
Project Highlights: The space will be humidity minimized, vibration controlled, EM shielded, air flow minimized and sound controlled.
Important Dates: The construction work will complete about 10 June. The microscope will take two months to build.

The parking lot west of the Allen Center is planned to be closed for the duration of the project, and is being planned by another project to be converted to a more pedestrian friendly space.

Replacement Project Scope: Replace underground steam and condensate piping Project Highlights: Street east of Central Utility Plant will be closed for about
two months. The cooling pond water level will be lowered as part of the project.

Evanston fire trucks in conjunction with the new traffic lights installed at the Garrett Parking lot
Project Highlights: New roadway construction and surrounding landscaping, will provide more green space around Kellogg and Lunt

■ ■ Map Identification No: 20 Project Name: Garrett Traffic Lights Project Scope: Installation of new set traffic lights and reconfiguration of
Entrance C, commonly know as the Garret Parking Lot to provide a safer pedestrian/vehicle crossing point. A new left turn only lane will be installed on the parking lot side to enable a smoother traffic flow. Pedestrian countdown signals will be installed as part of the project and a new designated crosswalk installed to improved pedestrian safety when crossing Sheridan Road.
Project Highlights: The new entrance will be configured on the existing north driveway. The south driveway will remain open during construction but be two way, single lane traffic. Once the new entrance is completed, the south entrance will be closed and regraded and landscaped.
Important Dates: The project is scheduled to start immediately after commencement, June 20th, 2011 and be completed by Labor Day of 2011

Project Highlights: New lounge, seminar room with Faculty and Area Coordinator Apartments. New finishes on upper floors. The northern portion of the 619 Clarke Street parking lot will be used as a staging area for the project.

Boulevard to Isabella Street. It also includes a segment of Forest Avenue from Main Street just south of Church Street, and the segments of Burnham Place and Main Street between Sheridan Road and Forest Avenue.

Project Highlights: “Local Access Only” will be maintained to the Northwestern University South Campus Drive. Construction zone “No Parking” at any time restrictions will be in effect for the duration of the project. To get to South Campus Drive follow the local access only signs.
Important Dates: Stage 5 construction will begin the week of April 4th with completion anticipated mid August 2011.
