Bio
Infatuated with the concept of making beautiful sounds through whatever medium he was provided with, Evan always found joy in making music through traditional and sometimes controversial means. A classically trained pianist as a child, he enjoyed fusing the rigid classical concepts with the spontaneous improvisational ideas of indeterminacy music.
The freedom for innovation provided to him during his 4 years studying for a Diploma in Music & Audio Technology at Singapore Polytechnic really fueled his passion. He was able to pick up drums and play it on aprofessional level, being involved in album recordings and concerts. But he did not stop there, applying his knowledge as a pianist, he taught myself how to fix, maintain and tune drumsets. Since then, he has been actively involvedin live concerts and studio recordings as a drum tech, having setup drums for acts such as The Roots,Maroon 5 and Incubus.
Aside from being involved in the performance and live music industry, Evan has expanded his reach into the production and sound design side of the music industry, having de-signed sound effects for mobile games, films and even releasing an ear training applica-tion for mobile phones.
Evan's goal in life as a musician is to be able to make music that is musically intricate,yet accessible to the commercial crowd and in time, find, educate and inspire the next batch of aspiring music lovers to do the same.
Evan is currently a 4th semester student at Berklee College of Music. Upon graduation, he hopes to find work as a Sound Designer / Foley Artist while working on the sidelines as a drummer.
