Overview Shaping Attitudes in the workplace is a

workshops aimed at 16-19 year olds preparing for work placements and apprenticeships.

The workshops are interactive, and support students on how to manage their behaviour and relationships in the workplace. The section on Relationships looks at Communication skills – body language, Dealing with challenging relationships, and conflict; while the Behaviour section focuses on Ethics, Online reputation, Appearance/Speech/Language, Stereotypes, Diversity etc. In addition the workshop looks at the character traits employers look for.

There were 15 students in total who attended the 4 sessions.

“An excellent set of workshops which really

addressed the needs of this group of

students. I think it was good that many of

them were challenged to think and consider

their behaviour and attitudes”

was all the sessions because even if they

were basic, it is mostly what people

forget to do in their work experience

and that has made me realise I should

at all time to succeed in life”

“If they are going to do more

sessions, they should bring up other

questions. Possibly ask people what

they would like to do when they are

older and help them prepare for it”
