LOOKING BACK AT YOUR PRELIMINARY TASK, WHAT DO YOU FEEL U HAVE LEARNT IN THE PROGRESSION FROM IT TO THE FULL PRODUCT? Looking back I feel that I have learnt a great deal more about how to construct my final product and how to make it look professional and like a real media product. I feel that I have especially learnt/improved on how to organise the layout of my pages. For example on my front cover I have now included much more anchorage and made my page look much more appealing by using a range of colours and images. My image takes much more centre stage as it is not blocked out by the title of the magazine, this makes it stand out more as it is not cut into by a title. I have also learnt how to include anchorage better, For example on my preliminary task the anchorage is just lines of text, whereas my final product has different coloured boxes out lining the text to make it look more appealing and to help it stand out. I have also learnt how to take much better images. For example my images on my Preliminary task are all mainly long/mid shots, however on my final product I have a range of close up shots, mid shots, long shots and group shots. This makes it look more professional as none of the images are the same, giving the magazine more variety. I have also learnt how to follow conventions to again make my magazine look like the real thing. For example on my contents page, on my preliminary task the articles are all in one long list, however on my final product the articles are split into two columns ‘New This Week’ and ‘Hot Gossip’ . This follows the convention of real magazines unlike my preliminary task which breaks convention. I have also followed convention on my front page, by the image being placed on the right hand side, however on my preliminary task it is placed in the centre of the page. My final page now looks more professional as

My final page now looks more professional as it looks like other magazines, by having the image on the right hand side. Overall I have learned alot in the process of making my finished product. I have learnt how to improve the layout of my pages, take professional images and a range of them and how to follow conventions so that my magazine looks like the real thing.
