From my preliminary task to my final piece there is a massive improvements one of them being I lit the photos much better compared to the front cover of preliminary task where I had no lighting set up. I also used direct mode of address in my final construction this is a common convention for music magazine. My preliminary task doesn't relate to any codes and conventions for magazines other than high contrasting colours. By learning about how to use the camera properly I was able to take much nicer photos for my final piece. Also by learning more about Photoshop I was able to download font, blend layers also use different filters and adjustment layers.

For the contents page although I have reduced the size of the images I am using, the pictures that are on my final one are much better than the one used in the preliminary task. I have also used type manipulation much better on my final task compared with that on the preliminary task. Another feature that is bad about the preliminary task is how little information is on the page this would connote to the reader that the magazine will contain little information, this is not a good feeling to be conveying on the second page of a magazine it implies the magazine will be boring. People are therefore unlike to keep reading.

The use of lines spilt my contents page up into section the layout if very linier with the most important sections at the top of the page. On the preliminary task there is no order of importance it would therefore be very hard for something to quickly find a specific article if there had been more pages in the magazine.
