Advancing the futureThe European Coatings Congress is calling
for papers: Again, Europes largest and most important general
coatings congress is setting out to assemble the global coatings
expertise under one roof! Innovative companies as well as
academic/governmental research institutes are kindly invited and
strongly encouraged to submit abstracts detailing high-level
technical contributions to this event, presenting their latest
research results that highlight advancements in coatings, printing
inks, adhesives or construction chemicals. The congress programme
committee will select proposed presentations based on the
scientific significance and potential value added to the industry.
The comprehensive congress programme of oral presentations will be
extended by dedicated and highly interactive poster sessions,
particularly enhancing the scientific exchange and cooperation
between industry and academia.
Thus, carrying on the proven track record of the extremely
successful combination with the European Coatings Show next door,
the European Coatings Congress is once again poised to set the
standard of coatings events for the industry and by the
industry.

Invitation to speakers and requirements for technical
papersAuthors of new work describing developments suitable for
the
sessions described above are invited to submit their papers to
the congress organisers.
Papers will be selected on the basis of novelty, scientific and
technical value and practical relevance and will be limited to
contributions with non-promotional content only. Helpful advice on

From previous experience and customer feedback, delegates do not
expect to listen to sales presentations in this forum and indeed,
commercially oriented presentations can often be
counter-productive. To illustrate this policy, the use of trade
names in papers must be avoided wherever possible.
Contributions will not be accepted if they have been previously
presented or published elsewhere.
General information for speakersAll submissions will be treated
with the strictest confidence, and will only be made public with
the announcement of the final programme. This will occur around 15
December 2014.
The European Coatings Congress will be held in English only.
Abstracts and papers must be written and presented in English.
Submissions are accepted only in electronic form. The (oral)
presentation time will be 25 minutes followed by 5 minutes for
discussion.
Speakers from the industry will be offered a full congress
participation incl. all material for a special reduced rate of 370
EUR. There will be no charge to speakers from academia. Co-authors
attending the congress must pay the full congress fees.
