Mattress with coverThe mattress is made from highquality materials. The air core is made from elastic, environmentally friendly polyurethane. The properties and design of the core ensure even pressure distribution. Above the air core there is a layer made from visco-elastic foam. This special foam moulds around the contours of the body as a result of body temperature and body weight. Even pressure distribution is thus supported and quality of sleep improved. The carefully designed ventilation system ensures optimum comfort. The Dartex® cover provides effective protection and comfort. This two-way stretch material also reduces shear and friction. The cover is water resistant but vapour permeable and is easy to clean. Dartex® is biocompatible and fire-retardant (BS 7175).

Control unitThe control unit is used initially to fill the air core and then for the automatic adjustment of the volume of air to suit the patient’s body weight. The orange light indicates the pressure status in the air core.

The highly efficient dynamic air support system Twincare IIwith very low interface pressure and gentle pressure alternation.

ConceptThe patient lies on a large surface on the Twincare II-overlay. In this way, body weight is distributed to a maximum and interface pressure reduced to a minimum. The volume of air is automatically adjusted to the weight of the patient. This volume of air is distributed between the two chambers in a ratio of 40 % to 60 %. It alternates at 10 minute intervals. Pressure alternation is very gradual; therefore the system is also suitable for patients sensitive to pain.

Control unitThe control unit has low noise and vibration levels and is equipped with processor-controlled pres-sure sensors. It is very easy to operate. Operating processes are visually displayed and lights indicate the operating status. An audiovisual safety alarm sounds in the event of pressure drop or incorrect installation.

Twincare-Overlay (ARDO Twincare II)The double layered honeycomb Twincare II overlay with two offset air chambers is made from elas-tic, environmentally friendly polyurethane. With large cells, the patient lies on a large surface. The venting/CPR valves ensure deflation in seconds. The overlay can be securely fixed to the mattress with corner loops and a center strap with click buckle. Cleaning and disinfection of the deflated overlay is trouble-free; there are no corners where contamination can build up.

CoverThe Dartex® cover provides effective protection and comfort. It is not irritating to the skin. This two-way stretch material reduces shear and friction. The cover is water-resistant but vapor-permeable and can be cleaned easily. Dartex® is flame-retardant and inhibits the development of fungi, microbes and dust-mites.

The ultra light W5 is the result of years of research anddevelopment. The tubes and components are minutely optimized toattain the highest obtainable relation between strength and weight.On this basic model, which forms the basis of the rest of the W5product, both back and rear axle are fixed to ensure that strengthand rigidity ar absolutely optimal. Each frame is individuallyoptimized according to the user’s size and strength. This way wecan ensure sufficient strength for the heavy and strong user andavoid excessive weight for the smaller and lighter user. The ready-to-use weight, would typically be 6-7 kilograms (sizeW/D=38/40cm), depending on the choice of wheels. W5 mosteffectively transmits the user’s energy and it is recommended forthe most demanding and skilled users.

Tukan is a wheelchair designed with focus on simplicity andminimal use of materials. The result is a chair with a light andelegant look and a frame which is almost invisible when a personsits in it.Tukan has a fixed back and rear axle for maximum strength andsimplicity.The frame is manufactured from very strong tubes, but the opendesign is less suitable for very strong and/or heavy users.Tukan is a very elegant solution for users for whom design has ahigher priority than maximal performance during hard use.

The Cougar is a chair built for rehabilitation with comfort provided as standard for use by children, teenagers and adults of all ages for both indoor and outdoor use.

When the Patient Hoist is converted into a Stand-Up Hoist, the result is an Active Hoist. The client now becomes an active part of the entire lifting process, during which the client is transferred in a dignified manner. The client experiences an advantage in being transported in a standing position.

Effortless raising and lowering of client. Easy and comfortable transfer between wheelchairs, beds, toilet, bath, etc. Clear access to the clients clothing for toileting. Elimination of stress and strain upon the carers back. The pictures below shows how easy a client can be transferred from a wheelchair to a toilet.

Notice: The knee support is anatomically designed - and can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally. That means you always achieve a correct adjustment of the knee support.

Being lifted is pleasant for the client. No pressure is experienced under the arms.

The client can gently be lowered on to the toilet.

When a change of the Patient Hoist to a Stand-Up Hoist is required, the outer part of the lifting bar is removed and the fork shaped bar + foot and knee support is attached - with no use of tools, at all. For the sake of convenience the hoist should be braked during conversion.

The hoist is eqiupped with both electric and manual operated emergency lowering. The battery is easily interchangeable.
