Getting to grips with forage harve
Pöttinger rotary tedders and rotary
windrowers provide excellent working
quality. Perfect ground tracking and
careful handling guarantee quality
feed and outstanding productivity.
Increased Success with Pöttinger.
EUROHIT-tedders and EUROTOP-In forage harvesting one process
follows the other. The correct sequen-
ces must be co-ordinated to take place
at the optimum point in time. High
performance is essential, in order to
win the race against time and weather.
With Pöttinger it is easier and quicker
to bring in the crop when the feeding
value is most beneficial for your live-
stock.

freedom of movement in
every position.
Dust-tight needle bearings.
Even when raised rotors are
free to rotate.
Totally safe against errors
in operation.
… the real hit for tedding● Heavy-duty transmission – large diameter shafts, heavy-duty gears and long-
life constant velocity joints.● The tine carriers are secured between the rotor plate and the support disc for
maximum support● Rotor angle adjustment – all models of HIT can be adjusted to match all crop
types and quantities.● Large floatation tyres for smooth running even on rough ground – do not sink
in on wet ground. All EUROHIT tedders have PR 6 tyres. Anti-wrap guards onall wheels as standard protect the wheels against long, heavy crops and wetconditions.
● Hydraulics for lifting the outer rotors for changing fields at high-speeds sincetime is usually short. Standard from EUROHIT 47 upwards.
● Straightforward operation – EUROHIT 40 and ALPINHIT 44 feature powerfulcountersprings to assist lifting the outer rotors. Hydraulics can be fitted onrequest.
Solid frame joints withreplaceable bushes

Long life
Rugged tubular frame-
work is securely pressedand locked fast to the casthousings – no weldedseams to cause dis-tortion.
Double stability
Each rotor is equipped withan additional support disc. This ensures stable tinecarrier arm mountings.Tine carrier arms made offlat barEach bolt remains tight, noloosening.
Handy for fenceline
tedding
● With the wheels set atan angle the tedderruns diagonally behindthe tractor and thecrop is throwninwards, simplefyingsubsequentoperations.
● Models up to EUROHIT54, and the EUROHIT69 N, can be adjustedby hand.
Wide at work, but narrow
for transport and parking
● The outer rotors can beraised, and on modelsup to EUROHIT 54 tur-ned inwards to saveeven more space.
The newly-developed gene-
ration of Pöttinger tines gua-
rantees an even longer
service life.
The cost-benefit ratio is
ideal for the customer.
The tines do not need to be
replaced so frequently.
…the new HD (heavy duty) tinesreally live up to their name
● The new, specially-shaped support allo-ws the tine to movemore freely for alonger service life.
● An integrated tine
security system stopsmetal entering theforage and protectsmachinery duringsubsequent passes.

Even better tedding quality and ground protection thanks to front jockey wheel
● Additional jockey wheel on pivoting headstock (optional) for even betterground hugging.
● No scraping the ground – protects the tines and lengthens the service life.● Lower levels of earth in the crop (low ash content) – higher quality, healthier
animals, higher yield.● Chain top link for better freedom of movement.● Higher working speeds for greater coverage.● Tedder is lightweight and is easy to park and manoeuvre by hand in the yard
– always set up correctly, even for non-professional operators.
Perfect match in all terrain
Best ground hugging... for higher yield from the livestock
Clean forage is the aim of
the harvesting process.
Fewer germs and lower ash
content in the silage for
healthier animals and hig-
her yield. ● All rotors are mounted on swivel joints for freedom of movement, even to the rear on Pöttinger kit, so the rotors can operate in the roug-hest terrain.
● This is an advantage to be found throughout the whole tedder range, from 4-rotor tedders up to the 8-rotor machines.

Anti-wrap-guards
are fitted to jockeywheels for smoothrunning, even throughthick forage.
Additional jockey
wheel can be height-adjusted without theuse of tools.
Pivoting headstock for unrestricted cornering. The
tedder faithfully follows in the tractor’s tracks.
● The tedder moves automatically into the centreposition when raised.
● The tedder is guaranteed not to under-run goingdownhill, and the best quality of teddingprovided.
● Double-acting shock absorbers – effective absorp-tion in both directions, adjustable, standard onEUROHIT 69 N, 69 NZ, 80 NZ and 91 NZ. Optionalequipment on EUROHIT 47 N, 54 N and 58 NZ(varies from country to country).

Tip-top double pack
EUROTOP 620 A economical trailed machine
● With a working width of 5.90 m, this windrower has a sturdy main frame withadjustable drawbar, and is fitted to the tractor drawbar so that it can takesharp corners.
● Both rotors are connected to the main frame in such a way that they canmove up and down independently, ensuring best possible ground tracking foreach rotor, and tidy work.
● MULTITAST system optional● Normally operated with 3 double tines, although 4th double tines can easily
be fitted. A swath curtain is supplied as standard equipment. ● The rotors can be raised without being switched off. ● The chassis is dipped each time the rotors are raised to ensure sufficient
ground clearance when turning, and on the road.
EUROTOP 620 N – 3-point linkage mounted machine
● 6.00 m working width, short manoeuvrable unit ideal for use where frequentturning is required.
● Pivoting headstock – locks hydraulically in the centre position when lifted.Friction stabiliser struts on both sides fitted as standard equipment.
● Hydroconvenience for raising the rotors: height can be reduced by removingthe tine arms.
● Parking wheels make manoeuvring and parking this windrower easy.● Half width – windrowing can be carried out with one rotor only if required.

Advantages
Swath width adjust-
ment on TOP 701.The spacing of therotors is adjusted usinga crank. The working width canbe changed from 6.30m to 7.10 m and theswath width adjustedaccordingly.

Windrowers for feeding forrageharvester – wide and flexibleEUROTOP 701 Amechanically working width 6.30 m to 7.10 mEUROTOP 771 Ahydraulically adjustable working width 7.0 m to 7.80 m
● The direct jointed chassis makes this machine extremely manoeuvrable. ● Tandem axles on EUROTOP 770 A series, optional for EUROTOP 700● Swath curtain is supplied as standard on both models.Hydroconvenience
● For turning, both rotors are partially lifted hydraulically up to their limit stops.Always giving sufficient ground clearance for turning. The rotors are raisedvertically for transport, and the tine arms can be removed to reduce clearance.
● The rotors are free to rotate even when raised due to the c.v. joints in thedrive shafts. No risk of damage if the rotors are switched on inadvertently.

Electronic control system
The working position or transport position is selected at the push of a button. All subsequent movements are then automated. Working width and field transport settings are selected separately.
EUROTOP 1251 AProductivity increase unlimited with 4 rotorsConvenient adaptation of working width
● The two front rotors are shifted in or out by means of a double-acting hydrau-lic cylinder. In this way it is quick and easy to adapt to the requirements of thenext implement in line. Working widths range from 9.90 to 12.50 m.
Wide at work, narrow during transport and parking
● The chassis always provides sufficient ground clearance. It is moved into wor-king position hydraulically.
● When pivoted up the front rotors automatically retract. The tine carrier armscan be removed to reduce the transport height to a minimum.
Field transport position
● All rotors are raised to their limit stops hydraulically for turning.
Increasing productivity for
forage wagons
Full working width is used
when processing high
energy-content crops – up to
20 % higher performance for
self-loading wagons by
virtue of optimized swath
form and uniformity.
Perfect matching, providing
high cost effectiveness even
second, third and all subse-
quent cuts. (forage harvester
is not utilised properly –
high operating costs)
